Nice video, great deep dive, I like the look of the Bullet GT rear suspension even though I believe GTX is superior , I wonder if the spring can be added for the look. . The designers were going to see if they could increase the low end acceleration on the bullet gt.
@hoohoohoblin Жыл бұрын
I agree that the red spring looks good, especially on a green bike, but it is super firm, and the ride is terrible. I bet you could find a spring shock that works better and put it in there. On my GT I replaced the red spring with an air shock, and it’s way better to ride now.

Recently received my new headlight and controller, and when going through the settings to adjust the top speed, I accidentally came across some hidden settings that aren't in the GTX manual. I've reached out to the company asking what they are and what they do if changed, but haven't received a response as of yet. If you enter the settings to adjust the wheel diameter by pressing UP+DOWN for 2 seconds (per the manual) and once you see Ld, then press UP+DOWN for 2 seconds again, you can cycle through VO, SC, PS. VO is for voltage I think and lets you go from 44 up to 58. Haven't tried adjusting it, so not sure what it does for power. PS, I found in the online Bullet manual and is for PAS, which I assume is irrelevant for the GTX due to no gear shifting. SC, not sure what it is. If anyone finds out, I'm curious to know what/why these are on the GTX when they are not in the manual to adjust.
@hoohoohoblin5 ай бұрын
It is a KEY-DISP controller. I wonder if other people on the Internet have documented what all the settings do. The KEY-DISP manufacturer might have a list of everything.

What have you seen with mileage in Class 2? For the GTX ( I have this model in yellow, dual batteries) the website spec says 50+ miles Class 2 throttle only. I've tested in Class 2 throttle only and I get around 22 miles and batteries get down to almost dyeing (flashing). When I did peddle assist switching between Class 1, 2 and 3 I get less. Both batteries are fully charged. I haven't had the bike long, and only have taken it on a few rides.
@hoohoohoblin8 ай бұрын
I got 38 miles of range when I ran the battery all the way down. A lot of that was throttle only and I live in place with a lot of hills.

Great review! I just ordered the GTX, will be a big upgrade from my S73 S1 I’ve been on for over 4 years haha. Would you recommend getting a shock absorber pump and pressure-rite shock adapter, to adjust the compression and rebound? Looks like I need those, could you share links to order? Thank you!
@hoohoohoblin Жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking. I put a couple of links in the description. If you already have a shock pump, then you can buy a 90° adapter. If you don’t have a pump yet, you can buy one with a 90° head on it. I put links to both in the video description. They won’t let me put links in comments or I would put one in here as well.

They need to make a GTX Mini, for shorter riders. With the power of the GTX, and the smaller dimensions of the GT. And ideally maintaining the GT's 7 speed gear cassette.

That’s a good idea. They already have the GT. A motor and battery swap should be easy. Some people have already done it themselves with kits.

Great review, can't wait to get mine. I didn't realize the gtx has only 1 gear I thought it was the same as the gt which has 7 gears. Do find this to be an issue
@hoohoohoblin Жыл бұрын
It’s fine. It takes off quick enough from a stop that you don’t really need to pedal. On the GT, it takes off slower, so it’s fun to help out by peddling. The GTX is geared so high that you’re still helping out in the mid-20 mile an hour range. That’s good if you’re traveling at high speeds for a long period of time and want to get some exercise and lengthen your battery life. Honestly, I didn’t do much pedaling at all. This thing is pretty much a Motorcycle.
@CONSCIOUSCOMA2 ай бұрын

Love everything about the bike, except for that thumb throttle. With that much range I would be tempted to go on long rides and without twist throttle my thumb would quickly get sore. Unfortunately this thumb throttle just kills it for me.
