This was my first radar station after completed training 1963 worked mainly on the heads T80 etc also the remote T7

I was stationed there from late 1972 till it closed in 1974. We used to live at RAF Patrington and be bused for every shift. Can still remember the T80 radar and the big cartoon wall painting in the crewroom depicting the Royal Hare Force. Wonder if its still there. Pity the Ops Room hasnt been returned to how it looked in the Air Defence role. I remember pushing bits of plastic around the plotting table, just like you see it in the fim 'Battle of Britain'. I was stationed here at Patrington, this was our Radar Plotter base, where I worked in the Teleprinter/PBX during 1956/7, with happy nights in Withernsea, doing variety show called "Birds Without Wings" enjoyed National service, good times

I was also stationed there, in 1971/2 mostly 'on guard duty' ;) We also had spells at Staxton Wold, up the road. Life was a lot simpler and much easier to follow back then, good times indeed.
