A first class video of two great aerobatic teams. Both teams have to make sure to conserve as much energy in their maneuvers as possible because they don't have spare power on tap like the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels.

Jeepers... The Snowbirds at 18:49 aligned abreast were superb. I am a total BAe Hawk nerd and enjoy the Red Arrows a lot, but that Snowbird formation was exceptionally good, and I suspect, rather difficult..

Great video, thanks. Terrific line abreast formation (difficult) from the Snowbirds.

Unfortunately, mother nature was not kind for the Gatineau airshow. Very cold and very wet. On Sunday, despite the terrible cold and heavy cloud cover, the USAF Thunderbirds, the one CF-188 Hornet, the RAF Red Arrows and of course the Snowbirds did a great job. Always a treat. Great effort from all those involved in this year's show. They are really appreciated.

Mark, incredible photography skills as usual. You never cease to impress me. I try, but I am so far from your talent it's scary. Please keep up the great work and keep us all entertained. Tks

I live not far at all from the Gatineau airport, The RAF red arrows and the RCAD snowbirds were buzzing over the airport and nearby, all day this Saturday, 7th of September, But I swear that I saw other fighter jets flying around too!

Probably CF18s
@alaingabriel17104 ай бұрын
@@mothmagic1 Yes, most probably since the RCAF has made demonstrations of what the CF-18s can do many times over, right here at the Gatineau airport. The jets were here again nearly without stop, all day long this sunday september 8 2024. Each time they made a really loud pass I thought that I will be voting for whoever is ready to spend even more billions than the present budget for jet fighters. I want costly loud noises with jet engines sounds alone above me (for training) so that we never get loud jet engine sounds with the company of exploding bomb sounds in a war with Russians over Canada

All day Saturday…. No…. They didn’t fly until late in the afternoon. Raining all day…. I was there Saturday and Sunday.

If I'm not mistaken the CF18's were buzzing around here all week prior to the airshow. I also live near the Gatineau airport and got to see/hear them numerous times over the week. They are so loud that you can hear those things from such a great distance. Unfortunately when they would pass over the house, I would run out on my deck and they would already be out of sight... lol

@@stevenbond2891 On saturday and sunday (except for most of saturday morning when I was asleep while it rained) I got the best in fighter jet observations when I did my groceries and other stuff and put my car in big, big parking lots near the airport and got great wide angles of view.

DND needs to get BAe Hawks or their equivalent to replace the Snow Bird’s ancient Canadair CT-114 Tutors. If we don’t replacement them this decade I’d say the Snow Birds are toast.
@alpearson91584 ай бұрын
outside of Red Arrows all hawks are grounded likely indefinently so no , likely we will wait for the T-7's but the snowbirds may be grounded as well beforehand
@andrewwood97822 ай бұрын
@@alpearson9158what are you on about? Hawks most certainly are not grounded. RAF, Finland, Us Navy immediately come to mind

Those planes are old. Anything to replace them with?
