I was a ballboy at the 2015 Atp finals in London. Normally when a player lost they would walk straight through the tunnel, past us and to their rooms understandablly in a bad mood, and the winner would stop and sign something like a tennis ball for us. When Rafa lost in the semis we all cheered "we love you Rafa, we do!" for him in the tunnel and he took the time to sign things and high five each of us which no other player did when they lost. Just shows the man he is especially considering there was no cameras or anything like that, it was just him being his genuine self.

People look at certain numbers and think this or that player was the best or greatest. Most people don't understand the true value of this legend. When I used to watch him my jaws used to drop in awe. This was the case for a good 12 years at least until his body caught up with him. Most people forget how many times he was injured which affected those numbers. Most people don't see the x factor orhow many times he adjusted his game. They don't see how opponents like djokovic literally only studied his game because they could not beat him. A true legend. Highlights don't do justice because it doesn't give you the context of the significance, as well as mental and stress/morale aspects of the point. This legend had given me so much of happiness and stress and grief. What a player. Wish I could meet him. Despite his competitiveness like any other passionate sportsman, he never broke a racquet or became violent on court. And don't forget how great he is at football and golf. Such a model of discipline and greatness!

I can’t help but to surprised at how many people are so stupid as to call Rafa the GOAT. Djokovic is the GOAT. He is younger than both Federer and Nadal and he has the most slams, weeks at number 1, masters titles, best h2h, most year end championships, one Olympic gold, etc.

Nadal is the best Assume that there are the same number of hard court and clay court grand slams and you will find the big difference. It's not fair to judge by these numbers when there are 2 hard court, 1 grass and 1 clay court grand slams during the year and also the arp finals on hard court.
