Rafael Nadal: The Biggest Fighter in Tennis | Ultimate Tribute
Rafa returns in Brisbane, gets injured again and misses the 2024 Australian Open.
I wanted to say thank you to him with this tribute about his legendary career. It took me six months in total to create this video because I wanted to do it absolutely perfect. But as always I am still not satisfied with the result.
I also tried to concentrate on some other big matches and stories I have not made tributes about already. But of course I had to re-tell some epic matches for this tribute as well. However I kept some storylines shorter than others, simply because I already made tributes about these matches in the past. So for instance his Roland Garros 22 triumph is kept very short in this video.
The biggest challenge I had was this: How do I tell a story everyone already knows and which I already told several times, in a new and exciting way? That's why I chose two different timelines, always coming back to the great Wimbledon final of 2008.
I also thought of making three different episodes about Rafa but in the end I decided to do one big tribute and simply divide it into three chapters, so everyone can jump in and out of the video however they like.
I hope you will enjoy my most personal and biggest video yet. I gave it all I had.

Dear Rafanatic, It is 5:30 a.m. in Texas where I sit pondering how to express my experience of watching your superlative work of art which I finished watching one hours ago. Like a best-selling novel one cannot put down, this tribute kept my eyes and my heart affixed every second of every moment until the grand finale. Nothing was left out that should have been included and not a single event was included that did not belong in the story of our amazing, beautiful Rafa. His contribution to tennis, to the world and to so many individual lives is memorialized in it for all who love him. It is a souvenir I will keep forever. We (your viewers) owe you what cannot ever be paid. You have told the unique story of one man’s mental tenacity, relentless determination, unparalleled skill and unending capacity to endure suffering and heartache, weaving it together with the threads of his love for tennis, his gentleness of spirit, his indefatigable will to rise up from defeat and turn it into triumph. All these things and more are encompassed by his huge, magnificent heart which is revealed throughout. Rafa’s life is one which is greater than the sum of its parts, as is your film which you have created with many of the same character traits and skills which Rafa exemplifies. I pray he sees it. I also pray he has one more tournament in Paris still left to win. If he doesn’t, he has given us enough memories and motivation to last a lifetime. Thank you for the time, work and generosity of spirit you gave to this endeavor. I consider it a personal gift and I cherish it.

The man is so comfortable in his own skin running jumping swinging and serving. It’s a phenomenon to watch. So physically accurate. Not stiff but fluid yet powerful. I loved to watch him play when he came on to the scene and I used to adore Bjorne borg! He was stiff by comparison and sort of stalking the ball with wide stiff shoulders and Rafa. Though these couple of hours aren't enough there are more to tell, but i really like how you highlighted Rafa vs Federer's seven hours match, no fan could ever forget such a match... Truly the greatest tennis player and athlete ever for me. I don't care whatever his haters say or do to undermine him. His haters don't have anything better to do in their lives other than constantly undermining him, but they can't take away his greatness at all. He is suffering from Mueller Weiss syndrome and has suffered from that for his entire tennis career. His doctor had claimed that he could never play professional tennis, and yet he defied all that and achieved so much. His condition would get worse and worse, and also led him to suffer from injuries the most, compared to any other player, and yet he would always comeback stronger and win more and more. If not for his Mueller Weiss syndrome, he would definitely be leading in all records. However, records aren't everything. He's still the greatest no matter what. And he's the most humble athlete ever and has such great values and sportsmanship. He's a great human being as well, and his haters are constantly trying to paint him as a villain just to get their idols in good books, but they'll never ever succeed

Rafa had to overcome so many injuries and setbacks in his career. He was always able to figure it out and come back again somehow but not this last time after Wimbledon 2022, his body finally said no mas. I really wish he could have done it one more time.

AO really bad luck for Nadal…. After won against Fed then lost French Open. After AO 22 he pushed hard to get RG 2022. After that he declined. But still he chose that not regret. He knows where to end.

I'm only 8 minutes into watching this and the background music is so unnecessarily loud and annoying it overtakes the video. Never understand why so many ruin their videos with too loud and bad background music . This would have been great with none! Can't continue watching this due to the bad, loud overpowering music. The video is supposed to be about Rafa's career, not the loud, poor music you chose to use in this.
