How did that work for him in Acapulco? Provoking Rafa isn't nec. a bad thing. I'd rather see players stand up to him than the polite folding that most players do. And Rafa even admitted that he played a bad service game in the second set because Nick got in his head. If I was Nick I would keep doing that. 3-4 against Rafa for a player who hardly takes the sport seriously aint too shabby!

I loved Rafas reaction. He didn't have to say anything. The non handshake and post 3rd set and match reaction was more than enough. He let his racquet do the talking. FINIS. Kyrgios is a phenomenal talent and not 100% incorrect, but if he wanted war he got it all right. I want to see Rafa this fired up every time he sees his face on the other side of the court. Period.

To get it completely developed he needs to put in hard work, since hard work is what creates and develops talent. His shots needs better reproduction and precision. The thing that is so frustrating is that Nick could be a great player. I think Nicks problem is resentment for his ability. He showed promise as a basketball player but he showed more in tennis so he chose tennis. I think he wishes his talents were the other way around, so he takes this anger and resentment and contempt for the game on court.

I think he's been told how talented he is, but no one has really drilled into him the benefits of discipline and respect. I think he wants to be as driven as Nadal and Federer and be as beloved as them but when it comes down to it he doesn't know how or care to put in the work. So it frustrates him that his talent is not enough to win against players who are also talented- but have the drive.

I timed Nadals serves with a stopwatch and he is well under the 25-30 seconds limit. Kyrgios claims are not valid and he behaves absolutely disgusting, spitting on the court, bad language. he is not the great talent he may thinks he is, but even if he was, that still doesn't let him behave the way he does.

To Nick's credit, there was a 4 and a half minute gap between the end of the 1st set and the start of the 2nd. The rule is 2 minutes.

Yes but that rule is not being followed. Never. Because of TV comercials as well. Not when Nadal takes a break, not when Federer takes it or Kyrgios. That has nothing to do with this situation.
