Grigor keeps finding himself hitting from the back foot. If this was a real match, he'll be lucky to get 2 games a set.
@andromeda9393 жыл бұрын
Not only that, unfortunately after all these years Grigor still has not understood his own style of game. His style of play is to be aggressive and attacking the net at every chance, not staying back and grinding it out. His ground strokes are not nearly as punishing enough to dictate from the base line, nor are defensive skills for that matter.
@geepeeone3 жыл бұрын
@@andromeda939 I disagree. His weakness is not having a B-game when he is off his A-game. Think about it. Look back at the match he lost against Nadal in Australian open; the multiple games he lost against Stan in the first rounds in consecutive years; the matches he lost to Fed in Australian open. He keeps upping the ante even if the shot is not there. Sharapova commented the same in her book as well. All-time great players have multiple ways to win. They can forcibly take the initiative or give it back and see what you do with it. They can be offensive wizards or defensive juggernauts depending on where they are in the match, or what the situation calls for to win.
@charlesfaure11893 жыл бұрын
@@andromeda939 There's a reason nobody at that level plays that way any more. The game is much faster than the way-back when pros could win that way.
