June 2024, watching this match is still such a pleasure. It’s fun, exciting and what an atmosphere! A great match. Talented players. One of the best umpires. Great team-supporter and magnificent audiences.. This’s happened only in the Laver Cup. Back then, I’ve a nice time enjoying every match of the Laver Cup. Thank you again for posting, to all involved, made it happened. Certainly, I miss Federer on court.

1:43:50 that shot right there. if you are an advanced tennis player .. that is near impossible to execute with such clean angle and power .you may hit it loopy over the net but the way Roger hit that ball clean over the net off a blazing cross court return shot is incredible.

I'm no tennis expert but I do think that Kygrios's backhand is flawed. His back swing is literally negligible and is over dependent on his hips to recoil which is why he underhits the backhand quite often and is also the reason behind the inconsistency.

Federer created this tournament so the young guns are not so overwhelmed when coming up against the super stars - including himself. Something has to be done to instigate a push bak from the younger players. Federer has had to hold off Nadal and Novak for a decade - both of whom are 5- six years younger. Nadal and Novak are arguably still in their prime ..where Federer is pushing 38. Federer is trying to lift the younger players to take up some of the slack... so he is not the only player offering a challenge to the super stars. Federer has done extremely well fending off two or three players .. every time he steps on court. It would be nice if the younger players could even the odds.

Stephen: Really? Well ask Tsitsipas and Zverev about that. But, your point is (apparently) Next Gen, your time is nigh. And I think Federer (and Nadal & Djokovic) do look forward to their competition. Don't you worry, they are slipping through the door, one at a time.
