other reasons why rafale won the contest against MIG35 and typhoon :- 1) India didn't want too much dependency on Russia 2) Russians are known to delay the supply of spares and French r good at it. 3) Typhoon wud have reqd negotiation with multiple countries so bringing down the cost would have been difficult. 4) F16 and Gripen were considered outdated. single engine.

Another issue with Typhoon is it's parts are uniquely made in all 4 countries as mentioned so if even one of the 4 imposed sanctions getting a particular part will be close to impossible.

Can mention the current difficulties faced in rafale deal. One is change in government in center has led to added delay in this deal. Also Their is some clause like dassault will deliver some 8 to 10 flights ready to go. the other remaining flights few parts will be made in INDIA by HAL which also led to some changes in deal. Can you please provide few more information on this. It will help to understand the current situation. Rest thanks for providing lot of info about the background of this deal.

It's a conflict that French company help HAL to built Kaveri engine.no country want to work that project that are failed.officely it is not said that French help HAL to make Kaveri engine.But in past starting project of Kaveri some Company is interested in that project but rejected by HAL.Finally safari agree to restart the Kaveri project for next generation fighter for HAL amca and advancement of tejas mark-II
