Rafinesque's Big-Eared Bat Colony

Get an up close look at a bat few folks ever get to see. Texas Parks and Wildlife Television captured some rare footage of the Rafinesque's Big-eared Bat at Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge. Man its sad the home was abandoned, I mean too live in such an enchanting location, the woods, near the swamp, all the forest creatures, etc. Just the peacefulness, and tranquility.

I found two of them roosting together in an old barn down in Georgia they are so cute. I know most people hate bats since they look like rats with wings but I think the are awesome!

We found a huge maternity colony of Townsend's Big-Eared Bats (hundreds of them) in an abandoned church in Coke County, Texas three days ago. The footage is featured in the latest video on my channel. Fascinating creatures.

Bigger trees are probably warmer and more comfortable. I imagine like high soaring vultures who coast on warm upward drafts, higher, taller and older trees are probably warmer
