The thing about LGIO, it seems like click bait. It isn't. Josh regularly spends HOURS to get a 5 second clip. If he finds a glitch, no matter how small, he will exploit it to the point of spectacle if not 10 seconds per frame

@@temxasred3086 Theres a mod that lets you switch from creative to survival during gameplay, so you can switch to creative, build your raft and fill your inventory, and then switch back to survival.

Josh is literally the ultimate Playtester for Developers. He does it for free, and literally tries to absolutely exploit the game to it's FULL limit without using cheats, he just has the patience to push the boundaries of what is possible in a game, thinking way past the box that holds the common player within.

@@lulu111_the_cool A memory hack is, when you alter the Memory of, in this case a game, to modify for example your item count. - Some call tools that modify the memory "trainer". There are also tools out there, which are used to build such trainers. With those its normally easy to quickly find things in memory and easily change them. For example in Raft you have an item with the amount 10 in your inventory. So your search for a 10 and get a list of possible memory locations. Then you put away one item so that you have 9 in your inventory. Then you search for 9 in the list of memory locations to reduce the amount. Then you either pick up the item or remove another item until you reduced your list to 1 entry. Then you can change the number of that entry for example into 99 and now you have 99 of that item. This is a very simple form of a memory hack. Hope this explaination helps how easy it can be and helps to understand, why i think he might use them. :)

There's also that Raft in creative mode stops spawning junk rafts, islands, floating debris and the shark stops attacking. Considering that someone else pointed out that for every minute of video that's roughly 9 hours of gameplay on his end, its all legit and that's one reason Josh is so loved on KZbin. He's awesome and a total Gigachad.

Even Josh's near infinite patience doesn't explain this one though. He has no food or water facilities on the raft yet never suffers penalties, the shark would constantly be eating the 4 foundations but they are never broken, or if they are the raft is flawlessly reconstructed to spec every time. Also trash doesn't even spawn while anchored so he'd have to continually leave the island and return for new planks, especially as he also has almost no storage (I think I saw one box somewhere). Leaving an island for fresh planks and returning in the pixel perfect spot such that those long paths still go where he needs them to just isn't something that's gonna happen.

Josh videos got me through many hard days. His videos with Anthony were more like play throughs, but with lots of jokes, innuendo, and swearing. They were great together but he is great by himself too. And I couldn't watch THOSE videos with my son the way I can with the newer videos. I also blame most of my Steam library on Josh. It looks so fun to play them wrong that I want to try to play them right. Fun to watch your reaction!

LGIO Is superb. I'm fairly sure game DEVs give him game keys so they can patch exploits he finds. I've literally watched them all. When Josh was a duo with Anthony they'd regularly have me clutching my sides with laughter as they each brought their own humour set into it and easily bounced that humour off each other and the in game play through. Highly recommend watching more of this channels content. :) TTFN. Also Scrap mechanic now has Dr Pixels "Raft Mechanic" which was originally a mod but the DEVs added it as an in game option of play style because it was rated so well.

I see the LGIO fans. Praise the game breaking King. I think he has changed things in save files just for giggles, but when he puts out a full video it is not creative or number changing in the notes, he spends hours upon hours to find a "shortcut" or a Crack to weasel through. His fishing exploits in any and all games, before you know it the screen is filled with fish. He will absolutely spend days exploiting a game mechanic, or glitch to see the ridiculous limit. In his Raft breaking video I believe he made shark bait every single time he went for a swim, and it wouldn't surprise me if he hooked out every plank and chopped every tree to make his raft-nado. LGIO is a persistent tick of a man that is god-tier at testing games for companies. They send him early access and demand he break it so they can make it better. He helped to create Raft, Satisfactory, Hydroneer, multiple garage simulator games. I wanna say the Dev of Hydroneer put his tag on the bottom of the truck in game? Because he found a way to make it fly.

Neat building tip if you don't already know it: If you build higher floors using 2 triangle pieces instead of a full wood square you can then remove the pillars below and they won't break. Helps for saving on resources and opening up more space

he started out by making an absolutely massive flotsam catcher and letting it run for awhile so resources that you can get from that were basically limitless. inotherwords this wasn't in creative mode but it wasn't far off due to taking an approach to prepwork like a proper Satisfactory player...I wonder if he's played much Factorio.

Thanks for the video! Was fun to see your take on Raft, as I'd initially dismissed it out of hand. Raft is a phenomenal survival game especially when it comes to item economy. Single player hard mode really shows off how there is never a point in the game where any item becomes useless

Whenever he's using creative mode in a game, he says it. He does that because he is still trying to encourage people to buy the game and he doesn't want to claim that he did something in survival when it’s absolutely not possible. I've actually seen clips in other videos where he will use things to collect stuff more efficiently or use machinery in the game to speed things up, only to use them in between recordings. Otherwise, he dismantles, breaks, or stores away those items. He rarely, and I mean rarely, does this though. I think the reason why he did it in this video is because he's already made 2 other videos on this game, so now he's just messing around with what's new.
