Thanks for the wonderful conversation. I have been regularly watching your Monday candid videos. It is really nice hearing your experiences. You won't believe what I felt. At around 5.35 you said "we were three of us". Three??? Then I thought I might have missed something so went back to 4th min and heard it again. Then again came the same phrase "we were three of us". I could not get even then. So went back again and then came to the same phrase again. Then some lightning strike happened and I realised that you are two and Kausiki is another!!! :) Should I be feeling bad for my stupidity or should I feel happy to say that you two were always felt like one!! :)

Gayathri is lucky to get a such a loving and caring sister . Ranjani admires her sister with devotion. I'm not saying watching this video. I have seen some interviews today. Today only I watched your videos as I'm not musician by profession. Ofcourse ranjani is also lucky ☺

Definitely I think collaboration is the best idea to bring Carnatic and hindustani together and it can only be done by you both . Gayatri mam is perfect as a bridge between two genres of music . 😁💕💖

Have started following your candid series very recently. Am a listener of carnatic music especially of Mandolin U Srinivas. Have heard your concerts too. A thought struck me that you should off start off a series delineating the origin, essence & the use of these classical ragaas in light music by many film music composers be it in Tamil, Telugu Malayalam,Kannada & even Marathi. This will help understand & appreciate the subtle nuances of every raaga. Madam Charulathi Mani had contributed written articles in the Friday Features & " Arts, , Music & Culture ' supplements of the " The Hindu " mewsdaily. This was a few years ago. I also got an idea that you should use both Mrudangam & Tabla as percussionists the way U.Rajesh ( U. Srinivas younger bro ) been doing. Carnatic music surely lends itself to experimentation innovation. You being still young artistes can get to be bold & courageous to do so. Hope u will not mind my humble thoughts & suggestions ( if u may like to call it so ) N R Raghuram Hyderabad

Surprisingly, I also remember how profoundly and wonderfully Kaushiki ma’am and both of you Akkas fused Carnatic and Hindustani in ‘Aao Sajao mandir aaj’! It gave me a brand new insight into fusion of music. And when Fun with Chakravakam released and the collaboration Agam happened, oh my god! I was so excited because I’m a huge fan of RaGa, Thayir Saadam and Agam! Thank you sooo much giving me such knowledgeable, beautiful and joyful insight into collaborations (and brightening up my Monday evening, needless to say!) Awaiting your concert at Chowdiah Memorial Hall on 14th Jan! 😍😍❤️❤️

What an amazing episode! It was exactly how we felt during the concert too! Even the seating seemed perfect - With Gayatri ma'am as the bridge! That Bhuvini Daasudane takeoff was marked with thunderous applause. That Jugalbandi certainly was about celebrating contrasts too, not just the similarities! And who can forget Charukeshi... This is another beauty! So much joy to watch you both talk and revisit those nostalgic moments! The take off to Bhuvini Dasudini was the moment of 2018 and equally amazing was impromptu Kapi you both did during RaGaM ,2019. On that note, would love to hear from you both a session exclusively on Ragam Thanam Pallavi. You have popularly been known as the Queens of RTP for a reason and RTP happens to be the most awaited and looked-forward-to section of your concerts. On that note, could you please throw light on some aspects of RTP? The basic structure, thumb rules (if any) and an overview of it's flow during the course of the rendition. Also, it's evolution over the years, aspects considered when choosing a Raga, Tala[Nadai - Sometimes Multiple] , Composing/picking a line for the Pallavi and the Ragamalika section. What are the challenges faced and how different is it for a multi-raga (Dwi, Tri,etc.)Pallavi? Lastly, a blast from the past: Most challenging RTP. Favourite RTP. Most memorable RTP.

Attending the Jugalbandi concert RaGa & Kaushiki at Chowdiah Memorial Hall was one of my most memorable experience. I still cant forget listening to these bhuvini daasudane & gnanamosaga on that concert. My questions to u is : Do the composition & its carnatic music technicalities change or remains same with the composer.. sri tyagaraja swamy, sri muttuwamy, sri annamacharya, sri purandaradasa, etc . Did they treat the same ragams in their unique style to compose the krithis. Thanks Murthy

Hello mam, I just attended your concert yesterday in Bangalore and I think it is indeed a great blessing to listen to legendary artists like you. Listening to your music is pure Bliss and I can't go a day without listening to your voices. I have a few questions to ask you mam. Your answers will really help me and many other learners like me to a great extent. I have been introduced to manodharma recently and I'm in the initial stages of learning manodharma aspects. If you can give us any tips as to how a beginner can enhance his/her manodhama skills, Il be really greatful to you mam. And also are there any certain ways to practice when it comes to manodharma. One is to listen more of it. Apart from that, is there anything that we can do to improve our manodharma? I'm eagerly waiting for your answer mam ❤️

Hi Akkas thanks for another beautiful candid episode. This is one question I've always had in mind. How do you tune the viruthams (Nadiya porul... for example) and also many abhangs. The lec dem " leveraging the thukkuda" rendered in the music academy, doesn't give much insight to the above question. It will be great if you can highlight the same in any one of the candid episodes that follow

As a novice Rasika what I observe is that a Carnatic musician has to fit in or fine tune into Hindustani and not really vice versa (there are exceptions of course). Unless the jungal bandhi tries to go beyond the general Carnatic kutcheri concert format :) I also admit that it is tough to learn South Indian languages especially while singing for Hindustani musician.
