Nenjil Oar Aalayam - A landmark movie in the annals of Thamizh film history marked by deft narration, excellent casting, subtle performances, mind blowing songs, brilliant background score, stunning camera work and crisp editing. If there is a composer whose compositions could stir all our nerves from Top to Bottom in our body, it's none other than MSV. He showed it in his countless compositions - both individually as well as jointly with TKR . Singers may vary, lyricists may vary, actors may vary, but the factor which remained constant behind such great songs was invariably MSV. This song, in particular, is a class apart both for lyrical value and musical excellence. Due credit to the young girl Lakshmi for her expressive singing and crystal clear diction, reproducing a soul stirring song to near perfection, re-creating that feel of sobriety creditably. Full marks to Tabla Player Venkat and Sitar player Kishore and programmer Shyam Benjamin (delivering the sound of Saarangi closely) for recreating the Viswanathan- Ramamoorthy magic in full measure, in all earnestness, emitting the same degree of intense emotions thru instruments too on a par with the original version. Again, one more great Team Work which always surpasses individual brilliance.

Had I chosen to mention about her brilliant singing, Kannadasan's outstanding lyrics and Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy's magnificent music score for this great Song Sonnadhu Needhanaa, it would have run for pages, putting this Team's efforts in the backburner. That's why I avoided it, moreover it was very late night when I heard this song Y'day as one of my friends forwarded it to me.
