In Hindustani classical while doing Alap, one goes by developing note by note, first covering the entire lower octave and then going till the higher octave. In Carnatic is there any such progressions during alap?

There are two type of Raagaalaap in Carnatic Music. 1. Samgraha aalaapana ( Short ) 2.Sampoornna aalaapana ( Long ) We can see the different layers in the Sampoornna aalaapana.
