I believe you are correct. I’m playing with a bit of my own feel rather than how things are played on the track. I like to give the songs I cover a little personal touch.

@7sloth since you change your tunings so often, do you also setup your bass according to your tuning? I want to put my streamer in C for a metal project but I'm worried that I'll ruin my current setup.

It varies a bit between basses but I typically have my set up catering towards lower tunings with higher action. It makes higher tunings a little harder to play on the fingers, but I personally prefer the sound it produces.
