Tom Morello is one hell of a guitarist, distinct sound you recognize among a million other guitar players, could say, he's a bit of a Brian May in ways. Brian ofc has the most recognizable sound of all guitarist, but Tom follows closely. Dang it Jamel, you opened up a can of worms for me with RATM... lol i was somewhat addicted to that band and i feel that that addiction hasnt fully left my body hehehe. Morello's unique approach to guitar playing combined with Zach 's lyrics combined to form one of the most important bands to come out of the early 90s, the last era/breath of greatness from American rock music. The bands that sprouted out from 88-93/94 really took things into new exciting directions and I'm glad I was just old enough to get to experience most of it live at various shows as the whole thing was happening/evolving. Back then it seemed like people were just more willing to embrace and get excited for various genres of music. Nobody wanted to be identified as being one dimensional and you would go to cyphers in the park one night and then go to a club and jump into a pit the next. That got lost somewhere along the way and music in general was worse off for it. We're currently in the midst of a revival of the spirit of that era and it's making this an exciting time to be involved with music again, this time for me on a professional level after years of just sort of going through the motions like a regular job.
