He was talking about the 90's conservatives that rallied around family values, while funding the military industrial complex. Weapons, not homes, not food, not need, just feed the war cannibal animal. You really need lyrics for RATM. Dude drops history books in his bars. How did he play guitar that way? He's Tom Morello. That's just a thing.

3:02 "What we don't know will keep the contracts alive and moving, they don't gotta burn books they'll just remove them" Is one of their greatest quotes and, sadly, one of the most braindead and saddest realities about the US nowadays!
@garryiglesias40747 ай бұрын
It's at least, as old as Roman Empire, which is still alive within "Western virtues". It's not surprising that it's still a reality "nowadays"... "They" own earth for thousands of years, the people movement is "new", and there's still a lot of work to do.

@@garryiglesias4074 Nah man! The sad reality is that the Roman Empire and the Greek Empire and the Muslim Empire despite all of their faults actually valued knowledge! Nowadays more and more the average folk seems to just get dumber and dumber for no reason at all. It has become so dumb that regular people are actually demanding the equivalent to "Middle-Ages book-burnings" hundreds of years after superstition and ignorance stopped to be a policy! It is just sad to witness because i do think many people do think History, Science and Philosophy are just filler classes and Humanity can't really move forward (in a sane way) because of it.

@@jaredmnichols1982 Dunno about that, but if that is really happening!... that is just fucked up beyond belief! As a Christian Catholic (despite being atheist) i gotta say that there is nothing wrong with the values expressed in those 10 commandments (specially when Jesus resumes them into 2), but to make any religion obligatory in school is just stupid and evil to begin with imo. In school, teach Humans how to treat other Humans with basic respect and then give them the choice to be religious or not and give religious freedom to those that choose to be religious (as long as they don't want to impose any beliefs on anyone else against their will)

Guerrilla Radio" was in Tony Hawk "Wake Up" is about MLK and X and was in the Matrix "Down Rodeo" references Fred Hampton "Freedom" came out in 1992 and is about the imprisonment of Leonard Peltier, who has been in since 1977 and is up for parole this year (2024)....again They were forced to make a song for the godzilla soundtrack by the label owner (sony) so they made "no shelter" a banger diss on media and hollywood In 1999 they filmed the video for "Sleep Now in the Fire" which shut down the NYSE mid trading day. Every song off their first 3 albums (Self-title, Evil Empire, and Battle of LA) is a history lesson and a call for action. Every song off the 4th and final album "Renegades" is a cover from one of their inspirations (Including Afrika Bambaataa, Cyprus Hill, EPMD) Its truly a deep rabbit hole in every sense. I HIGHLY recommend you following (and sharing), if not for your channel, for YOU. ALWAYS WITH LYRICS ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼✊🏻❤️

I always thought it was funny how this rage with the machiners and so many other Americans hated Trumpy yet he was the only one who didn't start wars and even ended the middle eastern proxy wars that America fueled. Soon as the other side got back in, the war machine started back up once again much to you and your kinds support. No I am not a Trumpy either, I am not American and I am not caught up in left vs right divisionary crap.

Nazis burning bibles is not equivalent to schools removing books from their SCHOOL libraries they deem age inappropriate. What it is equivalent to is amazon refusing to sell certain well researched books that come to conclusions they don't like.

"Rally around your family with a pocket full of sheels" is like trying to act flashy with only empty promisses. Perception is the bait but when it comes down to real-life everyday practical issues, barely anything has been actually improved for more than 3 decades (all around the world and not only in the US)

“THEY rally around the family with a pocket full of shells” It means neoliberal and conservative politicians tout their concern for family values on one hand and promote the murderous war machine of the US military-industrial complex on the other.
