This song really rocks, no matter the year is 2000 or 2021. It brings a feeling of protest and justice everyone has inside and rock'n roll is all about. It is very cool to see the moments in the video when even Wall Street execs and operators fall for the sound and start to rock with the band... Good music is irresistible...

Many people here (criticising RATM and Michael Moore) don't understand the difference between: - Making money by exploiting market rules - EARNING money by creating something and contributing to the society
@mtrich81134 жыл бұрын
Exactly, if I pay my money to RATM or a Michael Moore movie it's the same thing is someone who buys a good book for knowledge. But if I buy into a politician that he or she is going to make some changes but then turns around and sucks up to their donors did you know you didn't get your money's worth.

kim mogensen Nobody on the left “loves” George Soros. People on the left don’t even think about him. His name never comes up except maybe at some politician’s fundraiser. He’s just a rich guy who happens to support liberal causes, as is his right. There are plenty of people like him on all sides of the political spectrum. The right absolutely HATE him and have branded him a left wing bogeyman, but he’s not a person who in any way drives the discourse of the left. He just donates money to causes that are already there. Otherwise, leftist political thinkers and philosophers don’t think about him at all and his name never comes up in any discussion.

It's the weirdest thing with this song: I literally get tears in my eyes - but not from sadness and not from happiness. Maybe it's because someone speaks your heart for you in such a strong way that you feel understood - that you're not alone in the way you see the world. Maybe the tears are connected with rage and anger, but my tears feel empowering, not like tears of defeat.
@whiskeycan5294 жыл бұрын
We're born into this world from an unknowable void to which we must someday return. We get to be conscious and alive for what we eventually realize is a cosmic microsecond. We should all have more time to contemplate how beautiful and bizarre it is just to be alive. We should have more opportunities, beyond the... uh... 'gift' of a 3 day weekend, to be with our loved ones and just relax and be happy or create or work for ourselves. But instead we spend our lives working as hard as we can for as little as they can give us. The ruling class live lives of excess far beyond our simple dreams of security and peace and they do it with the stolen profits of our labor. Our suffering and their pleasure are directly proportional. We get one fleeting chance to appreciate what it means to be alive but instead we suffer for their pleasure, then die having lived lives of alienation and despair. You can't get that time back. Your life isn't yours anymore. That's where the tears come from. At least for me. Its existential grieving.
