For the torque wrench, I would highly recommend the pittsburgh 1/2 torque wrench! They are reliably just as accurate as expensive ones! They only go up to 150 ft lbs, so I understand if you might need more, but I'm an automotive tech, not a diesel tech.

Am not a Chrysler tech but u need a 1/2 in socket 6 points for oil drain plugs or your going have a lot strip drain plugs with those new techs

The ryobi hp brushless impacts are super under rated the p262 mid torque hits 450-500 break away with a 6ah hp battery and the high torque can hit 700-850 break away depending on the battery. Probably more if you hold the trigger down past 15 seconds

Especially with Chrysler products, you should get tire stud hangers, especially the M14-1.25 tire hangers, much needed for some cherokees and compasses that have lug studs. Very useful for tire rotation

Very good advice. Starting out buying tools and learning your job is a lot to do. Having an experienced technician in todays shops help bring up an apprentice the right way is very important. I like your channel.

Thanks bubba… I see a lot of younger guys get in debt buying stuff they just don’t need.

I like your channel. You offer very experienced honest advice and are very helpful to the new mechanics. Would you consider a video on advice with Cummins engine maintenance and common weak design areas to look out for? Like how to keep your Cummins running strong for 300k+ miles.

sorry if i sound idiotic but i am not in the Mechanic world just an outsider learning new things my question for you all is if cheap tools like quinn or Pittsburg work why bother to spend the the like 300 percent difference to buy snapon or other highly expensive tools?

Constant use on lower quality steel means they wear out faster, that being said most of my tools are icon from harbor freight and are amazing quality for cheap price

They trying to make up for a small pee pee. You can get very high quality without spending snap on. You can even just buy snap on used on second hand markers and pawn shops. But like the Daytona jack hf was selling they were sued for because they compared it to snap on and it was the same jack they had bought their orders Fromm the same manufacturer who was selling the same quality of jack to them but snap on marks up their tools like 500-1000%

Merry Christmas to you and your family. Didn’t know you are back in the states! Last time I saw your video was when you were still in Germany. How’s your brother Marc doing? Lost touch with him after he got deployed, and that was years ago.

Marc’s doing well, both of us retired out of the Army and living simpler lives😂😂😂
