Man I love Layers a lot, its probably the only NF song I like over others for its sound rather than its meaning and relatability. Its a bop + a vibe and the fun sound effects are great. RUNNING is hands down my favorite one from HOPE. And it makes me appreciate TRAUMA even more because now I understand who NF was talking to. in TRAUMA it's white NF talking to Black NF just wanting to be helped and freed after so many lies. in RUNNING he is finally letting go and leaving Black NF in the past. It all comes full circle since both are the last songs in his abulms. He finished THE SEARCH trapped wanting freedom, and he ends HOPE finally Free Just makes me appreciate how much thought NF puts into his Music 👏🔥

Sullivan King- “Someone Else” Sullivan King is the perfect fusion of Rock, Metal, and Electronic music of all respective sub-genres and the rock/metal scene is severely sleeping on his music. Tvboo- “Men on Men Metal” Tvboo is that guy who can write literally any genre of music. The above song is from his comedy album (he’s also a stand-up comedian) and each song on that album is a different genre. Metal/Country/Light Rock/Dubstep, dude does it all. i was listening all the way up to the clouds section, thinking yeah all this sounds alright, i can see where he's coming from, BUT LET EM PRAY? that came out of left field for me, i'd give worst on hope to mistake personally, interesting to see how different some people's tastes can be.

HOPE ALBUM Fav: HOPE Least: BULLET ( I'm an incel, I get no maidens). CLOUDS MIXTAPE Fav: LOST or THATS A JOKE, but if I have to choose, I choose the first. Least: PRIDEFUL. Not a bad song, but not my favorite. THE SEARCH Fav: There's like 5, but if I have to toss a coin, I guess RETURNS. Least: also hard, but probably Like This or Time, but I'm probably gonna get death threats if I put Time, so Like This. Both really good songs though. PERCEPTION Fav: Outcast Least: My Life, although sometimes Let You Down creeps down there when i hear it too much. THERAPY SESH Fav: Real (Favorite song of from him.). Therapy Session is easily top 5 tho. Least: Got You On My Mind (hard to choose). MANSION Fav: Mansion, duh Least: Face It, hard to choose though. NF EP Fav: If You Want Love (counting All I Have and Wake Up as in Mansion otherwise All I Have). Least: Just Being Me

My List… (BEST/WORST, I’ve yet to relisten to his old shit) Perception - (Let You Down/You’re Special) Being the big hit from the album, you’d imagine this to be more watered down and simplistic. No, it’s arguably one of the more complex songs Nate has ever released. This was the first NF song I ever heard, before I even knew who NF was, and it still stands as one of his strongest songs. Perception is easily one of Nate’s best albums, and this is more than deserving of being considered Nate’s most popular song. (HM’s: Dreams, My Life and Outro) The singing on this song does nothing for me, which is weird considering how Nate’s singing is the best part of his music. The lyrics are super simplistic here, which isn’t rare for Nate, but it’s still irritating. And even by NF standards, this production is bland. This song just bores me more than anything. (DHM’s: Outcast, Destiny, Remember This and 3.A.M.) The Search - (I Miss the Days/Only) My biggest fault with The Search was the lack of diversity with the production, so a song like this was pleasantly surprising. The different time signature forced Nate to use a much more complex flow than any of the other songs on the album, and it truly does feel like he’s tapping into that potential he has deep down. More than that, he actually has some good personal content on this song as well, going into more detail on why he misses his childhood. (HM’s: Time, No Excuses and Like This) The Second verse is slightly better, but the first verse has a lot of that signature NF repetition that drags down his music. The beat is also empty, in contrast to the overly dramatic sound Nate normally goes for, there’s fuck all to this songs production. And whilst I have nothing against fast rap, Nate doesn’t switch the flow up enough to keep the song interesting. (DHM’s: Leave Me Alone, My Stress, Returns, and Thinking) CLOUDS - (LOST/PRIDEFUL) Unsurprisingly, my favourite song on CLOUDS is one with a feature. I really didn’t like this Mixtape, so reaching this song and hearing Hopsin spaz like he did was like reaching Nirvana. Hell even Nate was good here, better flows, lyricism, and he even decided to use a normal delivery instead of doing that obnoxious Slim Shady style nasally delivery. The beat isn’t necessarily too different, it’s just a different drum pattern, but I can let that slide. (HM’s: LAYERS) This is literally a Drake song… we found the ghostwriter boys. (DHM’s: CLOUDS and TRUST) HOPE - (MISTAKE/PANDEMONIUM) The soft singing on here is really sweet to listen to, as is usual with Nate’s music. I normally rag on Nate for having simple lyrics, but this is one of the rare examples of it working to the songs benefit, as the simplicity still has weight to it with what’s being said. Just wish the production was different, that could’ve elevated the song a lot more. (HM’s: MAMA, HAPPY and RUNNING) This song is just weird, it feels like an utter mess. The flow is awkward, the beat is strange with those weird pauses, Nate’s delivery is nasally and annoying, etc. This feels like failed experimentation, if Nate’s gonna continue down the path of trying new styles, this is not the way to go. (DHM’s: CAREFUL)
