Yeah, that is a good point to raise, isn't it? Ena was unable to save one of her closest friends, whom she's known and respected for over fifty years. Wyverians may live a long ass time but she's still young enough that the bonds remain fresh. She watched him fall to his death, and almost went through it all over again. Maybe she hasn't known the MC that long but they're Red's legacy, and failing them would have been as awful as to her as failing Red. This is the cutesy spin-off where you hatch adorable baby monsters and form lovely bonds of kinship that show humans and monsters can truly connect. Funny I made a similar comment on the stories 2 nergigante ost video. He is Godzilla’s monster hunter world doppelgänger. He fights fights he isn’t sure he’ll win, but he fights to protect the world from nature’s greatest threats. Also when people undermine nergigante’s power and intelligence it means they also undermine any other elder dragon they try to suck off. Nergigante is super intelligent, otherwise it’d never risk its life to try to kill these huge world ending threats, hell they spend their lives honing their hunting prowess fighting weak elders and regular elders. Godzilla is super intelligent as well, hell both of them are fighting geniuses in their own rights. Godzilla fights Ghidorah- who has been known as smart as hell and Uber powerful yet Godzilla still goes for him. Nergigante goes after “spoiler” in worm form even though it’s bigger and could kill him. In “spoilers” true form nergigante would body it. It’s his classic body type of prey and it’s got too much weak points that it’s just not enough to counter the fact that nergi can resist its elemental prowess and nergi is faster and stronger physically to destroy oltura. Also every time nergigante wants to save the world MC characters bee line to cuck him, every time, so four times but yes every time.

I've died to this fight so many times I've memorized his patterns. Starts off technical, when spikes are white he does power, while mad (with spikes or without spikes) he does speed. To knock him over you got to break all of his parts. And when his spike are grown (white or black) he attacks twice. When he is about to do calamity slash, if the parts weren't broken in time, I would use a monstie that can tank the attack or use and evasion skill to try and dodge the attack, along with using a skill from a weapon for yourself that can either guard or evade. Then just rinse and repeat.

"Shara Ishvalda's appearance is greatly different from when it's covered in rocks. As it moves through the ground, rocks adhere to the body fluids secreted from its body surface, forming a robust shell. With the exception of Nergigante, it's difficult to imagine that such an entity would have a predator, and there's a strong opinion that the habit of covering the entire body with rocks isn't an act of self-defence. Even in this state, the vibrating organs of the wing legs are activated, making it possible to move underground while liquefying the surface of the earth." So, according to the lore, nergigante uses elder dragon bio energy to regenerate and reproduce, so it seems that they are attracted to areas with excessive amounts of it for this reason. It stands to reason that they exist to disperse and/or equalize this bio energy when too much is in one area, as shown by the fact that they are seen near large and powerful elder dragons like Zora Magdaros, Shara Isvalda, and now Oltura, thus keeping the energy from becoming too concentrated and creating extinction-level elder dragons. Hunters and Riders just seem to always either get in their way, or somehow help in solving the problem, despite their tendency to attack everything indiscriminately.

Nergingante is all over the place lore wise. so yes nergingante hunts elder dragons with high bio energy to help it reproduce from the spikes and also power itself. but confirmed in world nergingante was also keeping the other elder dragons at bay it isn't intell we slay nergingante does the other elder dragons really become active which helped xeno. nergingante confirmed from world acts mainly out of balance which is why it hunted shara in iceborn which confirmed by the commander is a part of the food chain. people seem to forget that just like in stories 2 we slay nergingante before he could fight the powerful elder dragon so shara only became active after nergingante got beat couse it knew it was basically dead fodder which is what happens in the fight. Even in monster hunter stories 2 it's actually confirmed nergingante goes after beings that threaten the natural balance even while weakened from us and nearly loseing to the tantral because of us nergingante still actively forced it away and confirmed was hunting it the entire time. nergingante didn't even really try to kill Zora in world instead fought us to help him get the strength to leave it happens again on the other quest to attack Zoro. oltura ,razewing ratha, nergingante are all kinda connected the three represents beings of destruction yet kinda hunts the other oltura naturally was eating and hunting rathialos while razewing ratha was meant to hunt and stop oltura meanwhile nergingante was hunting oltura and reds ratha and are ratha. so oltura got his original form thinks to zellard and are razewing ratha yet thinks to the death of reds ratha while razewing ratha was becoming more active thinks to the pits and rage rayed monsters yet also oltura it's even implied rathialos actively trys to escape the rage raid pits couse showed before hand their drawn to them which is a oltura trap are ratha isn't affected by this neather is reds ratha which nergingante also attacks so.

Nergi fight is one hell of a fun fight for me..if you did all the sub quest until this point you will have enough level to quick fight all the monster around the volcano..in my case im already over level and my rider and half of my monstie already have nutrients boost into them..but he nergi still can one shot my rider maybe because im using lagiacrus armor for the sweet kinship boost..
