I went into the dlc with a bolt of Gransax build. Needless to say I’m not surprised it is still rated as an S tier Dex weapon. Nor am I disappointed with my builds performance in the dlc.

One of my favs! Never forget when I found it, tested and found out its lovely sniper ash of war 😆 Hadn't heard or seen any videos of it at the time either and no one I knew liked it enough to use it so I felt like I knew some secret 😂 Finished the rest of the game with it. Always pulled it out as my last resort/"Big Bad" Slayer bc I felt bad for using it too much for some reason lol. @@DreyfusLagoon A Keen Great Katana with those greases would still outperform a Heavy Great Katana - at 80 STR, Great Katana has less AR than a Great Katana at 80 DEX - it's more of a DEX weapon than a STR weapon. It CAN be used for STR, very well might I add, but it does better for DEX

@@Jev55 Dancer blades do NOT deserve A tier. Same way Nagakiba doesn't deserve B tier, and Guardian Swordspear doesn't either. This mans list is just wrong in a lot of his videos.

I think Guardian Swordspear is at least A, for the same reason as the Nagakiba - higher AR than anything else is... sometimes all you need. At the end of the day, ashes of war are just fancy ways to get more damage. I'd say that Bloodhound's Gang is essentially a Somber version of these weapons, that can't swap its Ash of War. You should probably run one Cross-Naginata on Cold. One of the best things about the Swordspear and Cross-Naginata's movesets are their universality. You know how you hate using spears and thrusting swords vs mobs, or side-dodging enemies due to their lack of horizontality? Well, these weapons don't have that. And you can tailor your damage type to piercing and slashing as the situation requires, which is actually pretty important and often worth 20-40% more damage. For Dancing Blades of Ranah, I agree, but see my discussion on a previous video of yours - combine it with Bull-Goat Talisman. That weapon with 101 poise is insane. Though it has "total combo damage" of 20k, DPS of 20k would be insane ;-) Edit: Zweihander probably deserves a shoutout. On Keen infusion, crazy high AR, and you can pair various sword Ashes of War with the Colossal Sword damage.

For me Rakshasa is in my top3 weapons of all time, because of it's moveset (I don't spam weapon art) R2 has pokes instead of slashes and on 80 dex this thing has AR of a colossal sword add 2 handed talisman + dragoncrest + 2 head turtle + flex talisman spot

Great video! Small correction: Backhand blades do get the running 4 hit if you use running heavy attack. You are right about not getting the jump 4 hit that curved swords get though.

Falx destroys malenia. My 1st time beating her with a spirit ash or blasphemous blade and it was easy. Easier than blasphemous blade even when it used to knock her down. And the revengers blade combo breaks her stance faster than takers flame used to. She never dodges revenge blade like she'd dodge takers

I combo my Stone Sheathed Sword with my Lordsworn's Straight Sword. I dig the strike damage on the Stone Sheathed Sword, I get to keep Square Off on standby, and I can try any other ash of war I want on my Lordsworn Straight Sword.

Ooh, hard disagree. It's all about that ash, you gotta learn how to use that evade and then the 2 additional inputs to combo back in on the target. You can evade in multiple directions, multiple times consecutively. I've absolutely farmed runebears and quick aggreasivr mobs with this weapon. Base bleed, piercing damage against shields, good stagger potential. It's absolutely a top tier weapon.

What I hate about Milady with Wing Stance. You cannot cancel out from the 3 hits combo from the light stance attack, you will be trading blows with the enemies more and more often than not you will be knock down if the enemy have higher poise. That's mean bosses will always win the trade unless you are dealing tons of damage to worth the trade.

I hardly disagree with Nagakiba placement and being worse than the great katana. Nagakiba has the better ashes of war list than great katana, particularly unsheath and blood blade which works amazing. This is also why I don't get reason behind using storm type ashes of war on it. I also find moveset better, especially with poking attack with that range. On top of that Nagakiba scales very well with different infusion like occult, blood or cold. Don't get it at all.

Anyome watching this dont think Claws of night> bloodflame raptor talons. The guy that produces these has proven time and time again hes a massive clown. The dps potential chaining R2 is a fuck load higher the any of the R2/R1 attacks on the night claws. The speed you build up bleed & general speed of the weapons is significantly higher.

Personally I went with keen infused. 55 Dex. 25 faith and 10 arcane for golden vow and Bloodflame blade. Running heavy for 4-hit or charged heavy for strong lunge forward.

I don't think Claws of Night are S tier, took me 3.30 hours to solo Consort Radahn in NG7 with those weapons on RL 350. BloodFiend's Arm and Blasphemous Blade took me less than an hour on RL 350.

You’re crazy to not put the dryleaf arts on here with the dryleaf whirlwind, not hating by any means but the poise damage and rapid attacks scale crazy You can get off like 15k during a riposte break east just mashing the basic attacks. Not to mention the jumping heavy attack bursting for 3k with the jumping attack setup and the new kicking talisman for dryleaf whirlwind
