I like how all three Zinogres are different types in this game. Zinogre = Speed, Stygian = Technical, Thunderlord = Power. If only either regular Zinogre or Thunderlord had a different element. Three Zinogres, three types, three elements would've been way cooler.

Yeah it still grinds my gears that the elemental change system is bugged. I would've made a water element Zinogre that (in my head-canon) decided be friends with Mizu rather than rivals. I believe there's actually a thunder element Mizu in MHEx too, which I find hilarious.

Marvelous wanted to the monsties to be canonically accurate (Zing and TL Zin are bother thunder in the main series) Though, I guess to be fair, Zinogre itself doesn’t actually have an element. It has a coexisting relationship with thunderbugs.

@@lynxfresh5214 yeah I want my water element Teostra back from the first game. But to some degree I can understand why they did it. Mechanically there is no reason, as it was part of the first game. Canonically it makes no sense for us to be able to do it, which the director mentioned wanting to stay closer to the main series.

22:00 They've probably long realized this, but Rathalos have a super long history on that island, it bieng speculated that the original Razewing Ratha is why the islanders revere Rathalos in the present. Guardian Ratha was just the latest in a long line of Rathalos to dwell among those ruins.

Going from rise to stories 2, then back to world to run some hunts with a couple friends (they don’t have switches). Going from world to rise or rise to world is hard enough as it is put 300 hours of turned based combat in the middle and…well you get clapped by Frostfang, then get clapped by furious Rajang, start getting your mojo back after being curb stomped by Alatreon, then once again forget that you don’t have wirebugs and cause the team to fail on fatalis. I used to be better than this T-T (was one second off the Lance world record for Fat when rise launched). I mean I got my groove back but that was one hell of a “you’ve gotten rusty” feeling.

Is it just me or is it odd how each of the Zinogres in Stories 2 is one of the three attack types in Montie form? Base Zinogre: Speed Monstie with Jump Stygian: Tech Monstie with Jump Thunderlord: Power with Jump. Like, I wish Thunderlord was Tech because I have a Serious Lack of Tech Deviants! Because Right Now, the only Technical Deviant Monstie is Boltreaver! The only other 7 star Tech Monsties are Velkhana and Kushala, AND KUSHALA HAS SHIT SKILL... Minus the badass looking Kinship.
