Well with base world they had SO many new monsters, whereas base rise had less new ones and a lot of retuning. it'll be the same for Wilds since it should also be taking place in the new world plus it's the bigger game/first 6th gen game.

What I love is that Arkveld is using the Frontier Flying Wyvern Frame! The one with the tendrils, and they reference it as “a once thought extinct species.” Which as we know Frontier is shutdown! That is some insane world building and referencing!

He wears a Suit similar to Tony Starks, but instead of Arc Blasters, he Uses Electrified Steel-Nanofiber and Chain Whips, at least in the Film... They range from physical Equipment to Pure energy in Other Versions. Good old, A-tier, Classic Iron Man Villain... one of his most iconic, alongside the Mandarin...

I think that new leviathan is based on an arapaima, which is just awsome. And the fact they went the extra mile to make the ghost-themed monster an extinct species may be one of the coolest bits of detail I’ve seen in gaming full stop. Absolutely wondrous ❤

It's the second coming of the Fated 4 in so many ways. Rey Dau is a flying wyvern that uses electricity like Astalos, we have a water leviathan like Mizutsune, there's a Brute Wyvern with a huge tail like Glavenus. And our Gammoth-alike is Arkveld! I think it could be a Fanged Beast that has wings much like Bishaten and BOB

I’d like to say that this no doubt means there will be in-combat voice lines like in Rise as well, but I hope they’re not like the Rise ones. I couldn’t tolerate more than a few hunts with those voice lines before turning them off. They are incredibly cringy and very disrespectful to the monsters. Wilds looks to have much better writing in general, though, so here’s hoping that this time around, our hunters have something actually somewhat intelligent to say (not just screaming corny insults and declarations of violence at the monster), and that the lines are better delivered.

I have a theory for the White Wraith. So you know how Nergigante (the flagship of World) was tracked down to the Elders Recess which was the final locale of world(base game). I think the same will happen to Arkveld and that we will fight him a few times and have the final battle which will be in the final locale which I think will be a Tundra locale. I think this since first of all he looks like a tundra monster and when we see the little boy whose village was attacked by Arkveld he was wearing clothes that is suited for the tundra. Also in the flashback where Arkveld is destroying the boys village there is snow present. So yeah I think the final locale will be a cold snowy tundra and that is where we will fight Arkveld and maybe there will be a subsection where we fight the final boss of the game

One of my fav things to do in monster hunter is to give all the monsters nicknames. Fishmatsu is top tier nickname for that fish boy. i have been calling Rey, Ray Ray. And for the new fire chicken t-rex, I am thinking I might call him "Hot One" since it is just a single chicken. If those comes in packs, I will call them Hot Ones

This game is making me realize more and more that while Capcom may not bring back monsters from the spin-off games, they're more than willing to incorporate _ASPECTS_ of monsters from those games into other monsters, including attacks and physical traits - as they have already done so more than once. For example: -Sunbreak Lucent Nargacuga got the "circle of raining needles" attack from Exotic/Blinking Narga. -Iceborne's Brute Tigrex got the 360-degree sonic beam from Zenith Tigrex (which in turn took it from another monsters whose name I forget). There's a video somewhere showing all of the monster animations that were lifted from Frontier and added to the 5th gen games, but these were the two that stuck out. And now we have Arkveld, the just-revealed flagship of Wilds, having "wing whips" like Berukyurosu while also having a body structure and fur akin to Morudomunto, one of the three original elders of Explore. Also, Rey Dau seems to be their way of bringing in Toridcless by bringing many of its moves.

I too think there will be 4 zones in mhwilds. Wildspire-like, rainforest, tundra biome(just a theory) and a nother one we know nothing about. I really hope that the last locale will be smth original and not anonther vulcanic region. Also if pack hunting is a thing, i wanna see seregios pack.(in the lore seregios hunt in packs but in game its always solo hunt so thats why)

Quematrice (the rooster brute wyvern) is definitely the source of the armor used in the bow showcase. It had plumes made of scaly skin styled to look like fancy feathers just like he does

These new monsters look amazing and if I had to guess is that the rooster is a bird Wyvern. The forest I had personally predicted the weather phases. Through the other trailer you would notice rivers or areas in general that were flooded. With that I had guessed that the forest would have a luscious, rain stormed and flooded terrain cycle. Which is why we are able to swim so that we can still go place to place even during the flooded times. But I can’t believe how amazing and beautiful it all looks. Also there are parts of the trailer that have a lot of fog. Which makes me wonder in any of the terrains will have a dense fog cycle in them or even a high tide cycle. Depending on how close they are to the water or mountains. Or if that was them showing a possible snow biome without saying it.

You know what I’ve realized now? They have probably got the people who did the monster designs for Frontier working on this. Rey Dau looks like your average G-Rank Frontier monster, Arkveld’s chain whip wings take notes from those two flying wyverns I forgot the names of, and Quematrice and Uth Duna call to mind some similarly weird designs, like Pariapuria, Bogabadorumu (which has apparently been localized as Boggerbadorme), and that one poison brute wyvern with the weird inflatable hands. Not that this is a bad thing. I hope this means they’ll also bring back some actual Frontier monsters.

I like that our only confirmed returning monster so far is Rathalos (unless i have missed something). At this point I am hoping there are no returning monsters outside of the Raths and we have a full roster of new amazing monsters to hunt.

So a little theory based on what we know and the logo for wilds. the 4 small circle are each of the Apex's for each of the 4 zones/biomes we'll have. The big wyvern in the center is the "white wraith" with potentially a rival or connected "black wraith" so to speak. 100% speculation, and my take on the representation.

I don’t know about anyone else but Uth Duna has to be one the coolest new monsters I’ve seen. The sheer size of it and how it interacts with the environment looks great. It also looks awesome, horrifying, and also beautiful at the same time. Definitely my new favorite Wilds monster revealed and one I cannot wait to hunt. Also, if they managed to make this big guy work I don’t see why Lagiacrus can’t as well.

I just had a cool idea: because of the flagship being revealed as an extinct species (theoretically), There's a chance origin species might make a return/introduced into the mainline series. However, my idea was if origin species DO end up comin in, I think the Old World monsters should be the ones to receive them, and what I mean by that is any monster we know from the old world can only be found here as a origin species. This not only makes them fresh, but it would fit into the theme of the Forbidden Lands, while still being the monsters we know and love. I'll see you hunters on the day of release!

I will say our Flagship's wing-whips are interesting from the perspective of those 3 Frontier monsters that had them, of which I am almost certain they are a relative of. I also really hope like those wyverns we can cut those wing-whips off. Of all three of them though, which one is more likely to return? I think Zenaserisu is a good pick given the vibe of the Plenty of the Scarlet Forest, though he does seem a little bit too powerful to coexist with the apex predator of that locale (but that might just be Frontier power creep causing that). Speaking of which, man the contrast of the plenty and the fallow for the Scarlet Forest is crazy compared to the Windward Plains.

none of these designs miss. All fekin dope. Stocky brute wyvern cockatrice angry chicken, crazy ray alligator gar crocodile thing, and the flagship is this thought to be extinct, chain whip winged, troll-esque flying wyvern. Very unique flagship, very interesting, thought the wing whips looked familiar. Cool that theyre using design aspects from Frontier

I am absolutely HYPED for the game! The battle between Rey Dau and the White Wraith looks like some sort of epic final battle and I absolutely LOVE IT. I love everything about this trailer!
