Very true! You could put a pressure plate in the perfect launch spot and wirelessly link it to a sequenced gearshift to make the launcher do 1 full spin and shoot you off.

The reverse elevator actually is a very good representation of the elevator thought experiment, which is tied to the theory of relativity. It's not stupid, it's actually genius. And btw, it's probably even more trippy in VR. One of the things I want to build. Another note on the overcomplicated button: the diamond should be thrown at a wooden pressure plate, so it would actually make redstone pulse (afterall, sending a redstone pulse is actually the main feature of the button). Probably with some way to retrieve an item from this plate, like hopper or air fan. And this redstone pulse would trigger the dispenser :)

The mob launcher can actually be used practically. Need an elytra launch pad? Done. Need an easy way to breach opposing players in a way they can't counter? No problem. Want to have an activateable launch pad entrance? Sure. Fancy parkour trick? Yep. I can actually see it being used well.

The elytra launcher would actually be so nice since you could tie 1 rotation to a pressure plate with a sequenced gearshift in the perfect spot to launch you so you just step on it and bam youre good to go! I never use elytra in any world because i am not a fan of the playstyle, but if i did i would for sure use that setup.

There is a Mod called Creat Live it goes up to Create live 5 and it has some Mods as like Create. and I was wondering if you could play some. I know I'm 4 months late to this video, but that water wheel extender reminds me, weirdly enough, of the gearbox/transmission of a car. As the speed the motor runs at increases, the RPM increases, so an automatic gearbox will literally "switch gears" to keep the RPM down, and torque up, via gear ratios. In this case, however, instead of reducing the RPM you just increase the available torque/stress units. (Side note: I treat SU like Torque because, in SI units, Torque has the same units as Energy, and SU are basically a measure of Energy capacity in a system. This is also fun, because Torque is equal to the change in angular velocity times the moment of inertia. As you increase the RPM, you are applying an angular acceleration, which, you guessed it, must increase the torque, since the moment of inertia is some ratio of mass and radius - and are both constant in Minecraft. Obviously, they aren't a 1:1 analogue, but having that thought process instantly made my brain connect the dots.)
