Raghuram Rajan On Bad Loans & NPA Mess | Full Speech

The RBI Governor said that the slump in credit growth is due to the NPA mess in Public Sector Banks and not due to high interest rates. Defending the RBI's move to order a comprehensive audit of banks' balance sheets, Rajan urged PSBs to get their act together and clean-up their mounting piles of bad debt and improve their balance sheets. Can't take the chance on PSU banks again, the story is repeated every 5-6 yrs of going back again to GOI for recapitalization. End the game of socializing losses and privatizing profits. Stop the scheme of making wealth with other peoples (depositors) money i.e limit large corporations access for loans from banks.

Public sector banks not given loan in public .public sector bonks given loan in private banks and harres public and only given in politicians and relatives

Central banks duties includes employment and growth. Rbi failed on employment and growth and rbi is forcing the banks for harsh recovery, banks are responsible for NPA especially RBI. More people support banks recovery, more and more unemployment you will face.

Sir why can't regulator maintain a system that warns banks on giving high ticket Loans. Don't say that it is part of regulator .. If you see it is issue to the economy then make these part of regulator job.. Don't just the follow the guideline what were written.. Change the systems where ever it is needed to clean these mess..
