I was actually too young when this record came out, never theless Fabrik Funky will be my ever go to song when I have to explain SWING. That awesome Fender Rhoades solo will be ever imprinted in my brain.

Still today I could throw a massive tantrum! Take Sweden - all those musical gems in the 1970s! But all we got beaten round our heads with was - Abba. (Thanx so much 4 upping this - and thanx for mentioning Björn Jason Lindh!)

The thing is - and I grew up with ABBA - we had amazing musicians playing on ABBA records which were part of ABBA's amazing productions that are impeccable pop music still today. AND we also had these incredible jazz/fusion musicians that made some awesome albums. I was to young to understand Ragnarök etc bands back then, but I've understood that they actually sold some records back here (of course not as much as ABBA, obviously). But in the 70s people bought albums by Genesis, ELP, Pink Floyd, Rush, Yes, King Crimson etc. And also some of the Swedish prog rock/jazz rock stuff like Ragnarök, Samla Mammas Manna, Fläsket Brinner etc.

@@3rdstone1 In the 1960s Scandinavia was quite a centre of good rock music. I remember Hurdy Gurdy, the Young Flowers, November. In the 70s I travelled to Denmark several times. I found Copenhagen to be Northern Europe's San Francisco!

Speaking of Swedish bands, I'm gonna throw out the name of the great prog-rock band Samla Mammas Manna (also known as Zamla Mammaz Manna). Highly recommend their album Klossa Knapitatet.
