Ragnarok online Beginner Guide

I play Ragnarok online on IRO steam version, chaos server. I've been playing for almost a month now and I'm enjoying it. These are the tips I can give to new players of Ragnarok Online. Playing Ragnarok online is not easy, it sometimes takes a lot of research just to understand what you're supposed to do. I'm sure some of these guides will help you in progressing in the game. If you're a veteran and have other tips and guide, please tell us in the comment section.

For the potions, I usually substitute either Carrots or Meat (for merchants with Cart)

any setting/setup tips to make the game run smoother? most times it feels like there's a delay from when I click to my character moving... thanks!

do you play on Steam? if yes, the Steam version is the one causing the delay lag. inside the RO steam folder, there is another RO launcher. you'll know that it's the right one because it will ask for a username and password. if you use that the lag will be gone. also if you want to buy Kafra Point you then use the Steam version, then play again on the other launcher. If you are using the Warpportal version. it shouldn't have any delay lag.

@@GearGamingRO yeah I tried this actually, downloaded the portal from the IRO website and launch the client by itself without steam. It helps but the input lag seems to always come back. It’s a bit annoying but if “Character Change” then boot back in, it seems to relieve it so that’s what I found to be the best solution for my use case for now

Which class is the best for starters?

Best for starters would be thief (assassin) / swordsman (knight)... Mage is also easy to start with since there's a free reskill in izlude till you hit 99. So you can basically reskill to match the area you will be leveling at. Merchant / Archer need some initial $$... Merchant for pots as they have bad flee so get hit a lot... Archer needs arrows which needs some money.

I think because you're so familiar with this game, you skipped over many things that beginning players don't even know how to do, unfortunately. But thanks for trying. You went from talking about changing jobs at lvl 10 to suddenly killing monsters which I have no way of knowing how to reach... Eden is crowded as well and the game is so vague on telling you how to navigate to places. Really not beginner friendly

You're right. I didn't think about making a more beginner video. Yeah, the game is not a biginner friendly game. Like quests are kinda confusing. The next job change is also confusing. I will try to make a better biginner friendly video next time.

Yes, sorry, it's been a few months since i opened RO iro. I got burned farming flying petite. So i stopped playing the game. Lol. I will have to check out the new tool shop. The 4th job is coming out, too.

@@GearGamingRO now it's booster 2023 , free everything , armors , weapons , foods , buff , etc.. even shadow gears . even super novice is now OP , with soul linker buff , a level 100 SN can use a 160 weapon , wear other class armors 🤣
