Damn, these look spot on. I paid £325 each for my 2 bedside tables about 10 years back. They're made from Rubber wood but don't look any more expensive than the two you made from off-cuts!

Very interesting build. I love the end product. I must say the simple pencil marks to remind you where the shelf is after attaching the back panel is so blindingly obvious why did I not think of it on my projects? Thanks very much for you excellent video.

Another nice piece of work achieved, and the bench left as it should be!!! You are far from alone in questionable workshop tidiness. I do return planes and chisels to their respective homes though. Great videos, keep them coming because they really are inspirational.

Rather than sanding the mould could you keep it so it, say in an airing cupboard, so it dries right out and then give it a urethane coating to seal it. Saves loosing the face edge. Just an idea that I have not tried. Very good video to watch.

Not used the two glue method myself - however in my cardboard based craft work I find that hot glue can set as a lump that creates a gap between the pieces which can affect the accuracy. Is that not a problem in woodwork. Shall I take it up with 'the' DiResta himself?

I'm just wondering where you bought/got your riving-knife? I have the Dewalt 745 myself, but the riving-knife that came with my saw sticks above the blade, so I'm looking into after-market ones.
@RagnBoneBrown

+Bjørnar Magnussen a lot of people ask me that! I couldn't find an after market one so I cut the original one with an angle grinder and shaped on the belt sander

Rag 'n' Bone Brown That's what I'm thinking of doing as well. The problem is that then I can't use the dust shroud anymore, but I've never actually used that anyway, so it probably won't matter :P Did you cut it exact with the blade height, or slightly below?
@cakepanda
@cakepanda 7 жыл бұрын
i did the same with my table saw. I cut it to just below the height of the blade, so that it would not foul on the back of my table saw sled.
