X4 Foundations: 7.0 Beta 5 - Testing a fleet composition that include xenon Hs

Hello everybody,
I have borded a few of the xenon H, the drone carrier.
In my tests of the H, I've discovered that it can be quite a fun AA platform, but lacks anti capital ship capability.
So, I took a Colossus E (got to use the damn thing for something) place 30 torpedo Eclipse on it on defend (for the anti capital capability), and have 4 xenon Hs on follow, to provide AA and interceptors with their 60 drones each.
Conclusions:
- subordinates. L and XL in particular, have problems staying close to the flagship
- we can't give drones orders like "attack all in area", so when engaging capital ships with the bomber wing, it takes a while for our make shift interceptors to be able to protect the bombers
- the xenon H, like all new xenon ships, don't have much in shields, so....a bit of a spoiler....if a xenon K travel drive on top, or if you are gate ambushed, the H can't take much punishment. That would not be such a problem if we could build the Hs, but since we are talking about ships that we can only board, not so fun to lose one or more.
- the smoke an fire effect the beta introduced increased the torpedo consumption, and that can be quite a problem when using a small(er) S torpedo wing, so I consider making the shift to BM for argon S bombers as well. As some of you know, I'm against mixing races tech, on the ground that factions can't do it, so that make it a "cheese", a player exclusive "cheat", but siding with BUC, I've created a faction that use argon and paranind tech, so if factions can do a thing I can do it too, according to my self imposed rule, of course.
So that was my test, wonder if I could use an Asgard as the flagship, for anti cap work, and have the H provide interceptors... But then again, in case of an ambush, pointing the Asgard's tip, with it's lovely "death ray", takes a while, and if Ks/Is come from behind the Asgard, yeah...the Hs are cooked.
So I guess the H will remain the fun AA platform that is.

The quick takeoff and landing that I had longed for in the X3 has finally been realized in the Xenon H. 🎉🎉 Torpedo Wingmen work so well that it seems like a good idea to have a small, agile S-class missile defense turret in the game

So we can take over Xenon ships now?, can we build them also?. On a side note it's cool to see your channel growing, I like these vids you put out.

Only the new xenon ships and no, can't build them.

Xenon F and H are beautys, but like frigates i do not like drone plattforms. These drones are too weak and slow.

Yeah, I can take a personal H and have fun against S/M swarms, with the turrets, drones and Lts, but they are vulnerable against capitals and drones can't do much against those. A normal destroyer is better, because under player control, it can also take on capitals, while the H cannot.😐
