The Maris Stella is quite a ship just from the unboxing alone. That maker sure has their business in order for all the materials included. She'll be a thing of beauty for certain. Из дешевого материала и модель будет такой же. Лучше поискать, кто паркетом занимается - остатки паркета благородньІх пород дерева отлично подходять для моделизма...

@@OlhaBatchvarov I built a Corel Unicorn many years ago and I think I’ve learnt more about ship building in last hour or so watching your videos than by any other means, except hands on. I am very interested in the way you use the small table saw. As someone with experience of full sized saws, I saw the application immediately but I didn’t know there were small ones. Thanks so much. I will return to the hobby when I retire in a few years. It’s the only way I can get the time!

I absolutely LOVE your work! It is amazing and you’re extremely talented! I’m just learning how to do this. I am working on my very first ship The Buccaneer by OcCre. I have so many questions for you about the small hand tools you use. What is the thing that looks like a file but flat head and where did you get it? I see you use it to scrape off excess glue. What is that clear plastic square you use to push in small nails and where did you get it from? What is the small tool with point that you use to mark where you drill holes and where did you get it from? I enjoy watching your videos and hope to be as good as you someday. It’s nice to see another woman enjoy this type of hobby because it’s usually a lot of men. This particular model is my favorite so far! I show it to all my friends how talented you are! Such beautiful work!!!

Порадовало, что все из ореха. Фанера только на перегородках, которьІх и не видно будет! И очень подробная инструкция со схемами, особенно по такелажу - что очень большая редкость!

Thanks for making this video! It looks like a very well made kit, but I did notice a couple of things. First the forecastle is higher than it ought to be. It's often shown that way in period artwork, but the limited archaeological evidence (primarily the Mary Rose) suggest that it wasn't nearly as high and practically speaking it would make for a very unhandy vessel. It's also very short fore and aft which would make it liable to be swept away in any rough seas. The other thing is that the cannon carriages are completely inappropriate for the time period (15th century). The carriage with four trucks (wheels) was not introduced until about a hundred years later.

This kit is a reconstruction from the image on the church silver plate. The author made his interpretation of how these ships could be built. There are indeed a lot of controversial issues here. That I decided not to even fix the carriages or I just need to make a new kit! Since it will be easier to build a new one than to fix mistakes on a this one!..

It's been so long waiting for this kit it now faces tough competition from Chris Watton's (Vanguard Models) Speedy at 1:64 which is very high quality.
