This is not news. It's also pretty clear that the jail is not being maintained and they don't seem to have anyone on the roof, with a net gun. Bird netting is also very cheap. Maybe someone can share some of that kickback cash from the various music videos shot there. This haul probably includes items stashed and unrecovered because the guy who stashed it is already out. Getting a date for the confiscated items might be interesting. But it would also show the incompetence like tree rings.

It's crazy how they specifically narrow down all the contraband found within the jail to drones. There's no way drones account to the amount contraband that was found within the jail. The problem with that jail is negligent retention and negligent hiring. Fulton County Sheriff's Office hires officers who have been let go from other agencies and so forth. They also practice nepotism around there. They hire family, friends, and friends of family members who have little to no experience or interest of even being there but just want a check. Mispropriation of funds where commissioners have given funds to the Sheriff to repair the jail instead he chose to line his pockets and buy things that weren't needed at the time. The Sheriff needs to go point blank period. Allegations of inappropriate relationships with staff amongst each other and with inmates. The Sheriff's Office needs a reset and the only way that can happen is that the Sheriff and his top heavy Administration is gone. You need someone in there who is a real disciplinarian but at the same time someone who cares about people.

American jails need to be investigated - every one of them. This is just unacceptable. How did inmates get all that? Staff must be polygraphed. Anyone dropping materials inside a jail should be charged and put away for a long time.

Not really when you think about it because inside any internet kiosk that you find in a public space there is usually just a regular off-the-shelf computer so once you have access to those normally concealed USB ports and the power strip that a lot of those things contain you have an easy spot to charge your devices. What's crazier to believe is that inmates were busting that open and opening it up and using it and none of the guards noticed anything suspicious

Ain't no way they had that many weapons, phones, drugs and other contraband if they are doing "regular" shakedowns. Looks like they've been stockpiling for quite some time, as soon as the cameras left those corrupt C.O.'s probably handed them all their stuff back just to avoid doing paper work.
