We are at a weird spot an elite qb takes us through the playoffs, but we also are a few pieces away from being a great team overall. Thing about Penix- he is another DC4 long ball accurate in the pocket ut really needs pass protection. And in our division we have to be able to run to get them to stack the box somwe can do the long ball. Thats why we had guys like BoJackson and Mr 32 who Al didn’t want running all the time back in the day from Al. So what is needed for that to work? A top 5 Oline. Not one or two top 5 players but the entire line has to be one of the best lines to have any chance. We have enough defense- we need Oline even is we have to sell the farm trading for proven lineman. Who is the corner that she is in love with trying to get him on the team? We get it, she thinks cb wins or looses the game. Dang girl.

Jimmy G. had 1.5 to 2 seconds to drop back and pass before defense was already in his face. Our offensive line is the direct 100% responsible for his injury. They have a chance to take sure-fire talents (Mitchell, Arnold, Dejean,Fuaga, Fashanu……..hell, even Murphy, Newton, Laitu would be worthy all day vs reaching for Penix). This BS nostalgia quest is maddening. Build the roster along the OL and fortify the CB room first! I can’t believe some of you so-called fans wanna give away 3 yrs of 1st round picks for the next coming of Lamar Jackson; wtf has he won? Or Josh Allen for that matter? Or Aaron Rodgers? Or Jalen Hurts? Or Joe Burrow? Or Herbert? All of the above had a brief taste of glory only to fall short because they lost to Mahomes or couldn’t overcome injuries to their roster at various positions. I’d rather enjoy my next 3 yrs of drafts and keep adding to the roster. Next year, LB and WR are developing needs. Add the fact that Koonce may be bailing for bank, and suddenly, we’re looking around for picks to fill those needs. Pass on trading all the way up for a one year wonder at QB. Sure, Daniels may be great, but I’ll bet my house that dude gets hurt early and often.
