He wasn't ever going to play slot. He was brought here to be a back up wide receiver. The Eagles now have no proven experienced wide receiver if Brown or Smith go down. Campbell is a slot and has never shown he is a good wide receiver. A. Smith is a slot and a rookie. Wilson is rookie. Newsflash NFL rookie wide receivers struggle their first year or two because they don't know how to read defensive coverages and don't know how to run the proper routes to get open in those coverage. So why did you think they were going to beat out an experienced Parker at back up wide receiver. Especially Wilson who has a problem dropping balls? So now , at this time, the Eagles have no proven or experienced back up at wide receiver if Brown or Smith go down. It astonishing the comments you dudes make without really knowing about football Snap! Snap! Give us a back up wide receiver on the Eagles roster today who has the experience, better numbers and production than Parker had at wide receiver? You can't gives us that guy, yet you're glad Parkers gone and you actually thought he was in competition with Smith and Campbell who are slot receivers.

I think Anais Smith will be the #3. I think a guy who could surprise is Austin Watkins who we got from Cleveland. He was dynamic in their camp a couple of times, but never did much in the regular season with limited opportunities. But, the Browns' offense had issues here and there. So, he is coming to a team with a more dynamic offense.

Yeah I think if anias, Wilson, or the Campbell don't in impress then we will make a last minute signing. But I think anias Smith is what our OC is looking for in a slot wr. He's not a star level player but he seems like he can play at a high level doing multiple things on offense. He had 600 rec yards and 300 rsh yards his last year in college and he physically fits the mold for a NFL wr in the slot.
