I just played this over the weekend and I gotta say you nailed this overview and review. Raiders really injects new life into the pick up and deliver mechanic and the worker placement twist keeps things fair

Great video Jamie! Thank you for giving this game some love. I really enjoy it but I am still undecided whether I like Champions of Midgard or this better. May be I should try the expansions as well as my opinion on CoM is with all the expansions included. Keep on the great work!

I really should try the CoM expansion too. I actually do not like CoM and everyone tells me that my reasons for not liking it are removed when playing with the expansion. One of these days I'll give it a whirl!

I agree that the art and board are gorgeous. The other components are just ok, other than the metal coins. If I loved this game, I'm undecided, I would want better wooden bits like the character meeples in Lords of Waterdeep.

I can see that. I personally like the way the components look in this one. I guess everything could be better of course. It would be neat if the Viking meeples were cooler, more detailed shapes.

"on a players turn they have two options, they can stay in the village to work or they can sail to the *north* to raid". Why north? Vikings sailed south or east or west, but north??!

I dunno. Apparently this particular clan of Vikings have a sea to their north (top half of the board).
