I saw Keith Allison as one of the opening acts for Paul Revere & the Raiders, here in Nashville in 1968, my second ever concert.

@@thirdgearband & Jerry Sorry Carlo ( Carl Driggs) GOD REST HIS SOUL 🕇 along with Omar Martinez, Doug Heath, Danny Krause, Ron Foos along with Paul GOD REST HIS SOUL were the GREATEST LINEUP THE BAND EVER HAD. Carl had a range that was INCREDIBLE. THIS GROUP SHOWN HERE IS A POOR REPRESENT OF THE GREAT RAIDERS. MISLEADING TO CALL THIS THE RAIDERS REUNION. THE GREAT RAIDERS REUNION WAS WHEN MARK LINDSAY JOINED PAUL, CARL, OMAR, RON, DOUG, & DANNY ON THE GREAT RAIDERS REUNION LP RELEASED ON SMALL LABEL IN CANADA. I AM LUCKY TO HAVE THIS GEM. WISH IT WOULD BE RELEASED ON CD SO EVERYONE CAN ENJOY AND HEAR FOR THEMSELVES. THERE ARE GREAT VIDEOS HERE ON KZbin TO SEE THEM AFTER CARLO LEFT THE BAND THE 2 DARRINS MEDLEY ( BILL'S SON) & DOWLER WERE ALSO GREAT. MISS PAUL & CARL 🕇🌷🕇🌷🎤🎹🎸📻🕊

I love those guys, but there is a reason Mark was lead singer, and the rest played guitars. Loved Phil. He has so much energy.

First live concert I ever attended was PR&Rs. B.J. Thomas opened for them, and Keith Allison played before the Raiders. Keith was playing an old Strat and played an extended solo that stunned me. It was pure blues and rock and roll. I thought of him as a teeny bopper, not a serious musician. That show forever changed my perception of him. He also joined the raiders on stage and lifted the whole show. Great stuff.

You will be glad to hear there is a Paul Revere and The Raiders documentary in the works. I got to interview Paul Revere in 2011 for a non Raiders documentary that I produced. Thanks for your comments!!

@@LoriCurl Thought I would send a link to the documentary I made with the Paul Revere interview. I'm not producing the Raiders documentary that's in the works now but I know the guy. It's going to be great. That's really cool that you still have your Raiders vinyl. I still have my first album, "Herman's Hermits Greatest Hits". Got it when I was like 8 probably. Just found this. Can't believe there's only 163 views! It was great seeing "Fang", "Harpo", and Chris, together again. When the group fired off with their first number, "Just Like Me"... it almost brought tears to my eyes. I have so many good memories of listening to Raider music back when I was but a lad. I would listen to a song, and note by note, learn the bass lines off the LP's! Once learned, I would play along with them! Plus, for some reason it was surprisingly emotional seeing and hearing the remnants of the Raiders together again after all these years, and still kickin' some rock n' roll butt! Though none of us are "young" anymore... the spirit of the Raiders was still running deep in Fang, Harpo, and Chris! Thank you so much for posting this.

WOW, is this bad. There's only one original Raider on stage, Fang, and what did you do with the money Fang? What money? The money your mother gave you for singing lessons. This is why Mark was the only one allowed to sing in the band, and without Mark here, this is bad...
