In fact I'm so lazy I use a keyboard macro which spams 1 for me Since I'm too lazy to even target the mob, I made it an in game macro which cast frostbolt at target of target. Then I target another raid member before turning on the keyboard macro. I'm too lazy to move my character also so I put the said character on follow while autospam frostbolting macro

Found an error. The mage didn't deliberately run into the whelp pits to gather all the whelps to arcane explosion and massively boost his dps.

You mean run into whelps, blink out of them while Onyxia is still in phase 2, pray to God some warrior cleaves them for you, then your crit frostbolt lands right as she transitions to phase 3 so now you're the tank for a bit (aka till you die out wipe the raid). I uh...yeah. Might've done something similar

This is why I’m leveling a hunter in a nutshell even though my main is a mage. Mage can still be pretty fun outside of raids though, and provides an easy way to make gold with ports and food/water.

Even better than pressing 1 button is to set up Razer Synapse (or similar program) to play a continuous macro that presses the Frostbolt key 50-100 times a second. So basically stand in position, press the key that activates that macro and just stand still. i got sore fingers from button mashing and this helped me alot.

Accurate for both classic and retail. Most braindead ranged class in the game, though fire spec is the proper equivalent in retail. Just wait for procs, movement is trivial due to blinks while other classes have to fend off at melee range or walk to avoid attacks. Warlocks get gateways in retail, but much higher cooldown plus setup or a sprint that burns through health lol.
