I never played Warrior or Classic, but this reminds me of a duel I had in early Legion. I was in front of Stormwind and I was having a discussion about the changes to Survival Hunter. This toxic Druid said I had no idea what I was talking about and that "Mongoose Bite was useless." I said, "What? That's literally our strongest attack." So she alt hopped to her Survival Hunter, kept calling me trash, and challenged me to a duel. I completely destroyed her and said, "So, as I was saying...Mongoose Bite is our strongest attack." She logged off without responding. I too hope she learned from that duel, though I doubt it.

Before they dueled, obiwan got kicked out of raid for Geonosis due to unreasonably low dps and anakinxx because he used all fury cooldowns like challenging shout and then they were sent to elite quest for killing Dooku which they failed as two man and they had to wait their world buffed class leader to come up finish Dooku.

Hey dude :) Warriors in classic before attack power was normalized would have their big attacks like Mortal Strike and Overpower based on Attack Damage also, which would always be higher on the slower weapons to balance out their speed. A good warrior would find a way of kiting enemies so that it didn't really matter with attack speed and they would sort of run away from opponent until their attack swing timer was up and then run back into the mobs using a hamstring kite tactic, so that the enemy mob and player would only get one hit on each other at a time. This made the higher attack damage the better - and attack speed not really matter. Finally Humans had an ability called Sword Specialization where they would get +5 weapon proficiency points while using swords. This didn't really matter until you hit level 60 where the absolute priority for melee players would be to get their hit chance % up to a certain cap where none of their attacks would miss because this would be the biggest detractor to overall dps - Weapon Skill over 300 counted directly to that hit chance - causing you not to need as many "hit chance pieces".

@@Immagonko Damage is shown in two different ways. The ones we usually think about today is the "149 damage per second" and that could be disregarded if the damage was higher as in the "411 - 432 damage" range.

That's not how it worked. It only does this with such abilities as Mortal Strike, treating the 2H as having a 3.30 speed. Auto-attack and other such things still have attack speed vs. DPH. Hamstring kiting is still about the still slower, contrary to your misbelief, axes, because if the DPS is the same, the damage each individual hit inflicts is higher the slower the weapon is.
