A relatively very long back and very short femurs, a body type very different from Pavel's. If you notice, because of his long femurs, he barely gets to parallel on his squats and has his back very forward. This may be why he prefers kettle bells to barbells.

I used to make fun of kettlebells calling them a gimmick, but when I got tendonitis on my shoulder a friend showed me some kettlebell drills, it got me sweating and the next day I was sore in all the right muscles and even muscles I never engaged before, my shoulder fully recovered and I was stronger than before my injury. Really a great tool for those who are trying to loose weight and protect the joints. And one 40lb kettlebell and a jump rope will get you farther than a huge treadmill.

With this lockdown, I've been keeping in shape with kb, jumping rope and a 10kg mace. Got a sandbag too but it's overkill. Kb and jump rope is the best bang for your buck. No gym membership, no hassles, no excuses, just sweat, pain and results. Your forearms will cry, you will wonder why the toilet seat keeps getting closer and closer to the floor but the benefit in posture and walking alone are priceless. With a decent diet you can be shredded and get a rock hard ass in no time.

I have been following Pavel since he started Dragon Door back in 98...ish. Was introduced to Ori Hoffmacher (Warrior Diet) shortly after via Pavel as well and it changed my view of health and diet. When I started incorporating the 1 meal a day concept then everyone laughed at me and thought I was flat out crazy. Now 20+ years later this 50 year old still keeps up with 30 year olds. Pavel is a no nonsense guy and plays things out as they should be...to the point and efficient!!

It's so good to see Pavel doing kettlebell swings. Other instructors make it soo f@cking difficult, you cannot do it without mistakes. And even among instructors there is no consistency. Pavel established this sport around the world. According to other "pro"s: too deep squat, shoulders not in position. He is okay with that, so am I. Don't overthink, just do it.
