Great recording. Piped through a good A/D converter into a high-end system, I had the walls 'flapping' on the pass-by. Getting down in the sub 40 hz. area I think. Excellent!

Thank you, thank you. I'm a retired engineer of 36 years, 1974-2011. Give me an EMD, any age on any train anywhere. GP9 to SD70. EMD sold locomotives because they are good. GE sold locomotives because the cried foul, big bad EMD will have a monopoly, make them buy our engines. I talked to EMD people about that and brother they would turn red in the face. They lost sales because of that. GE doesn't complain anymore about monopolies, do they?

EMD is the shit. i've tested many EMD V_20's on the stand. the whole set up. electrical, instrumentation, hydylics, pnuamatics, welding, painting, 70 tone crane. 2000MCM. cable. 3 phyase 4160V.

It seems that the EMD's at speeds under 26-27 are sweet, the transition always makes me cringe a little! Pulling and then BLAM! You sure hope the hogger doesn't say, "we just fucking lost our air!" I prefer the EMD's from the other side of the cab, but I can't hate on a GE. They rumble-rumble-rumble-in 3/4 time!

I was pulling 660,000 pound rail cars loaded to dah hill with shreds and coal, 3,000 brake wheel horse power each wheel full inter axel wheel locks. Go with throttle up, running a fiat Alice tug boat engine 16 cylinder

They be runnig Cat engines in them now since Cat bought out EMD but im sure they are still installing EMD 710s ind some at buyers request, but dont hold me on that cause i culd still be wrong on some details

emily kroll The new F125 passenger locomotive will have a 4-stroke CAT engine, but I've heard of none going into freight locos. It's still the 2-stroke 710 engine in the SD70 line.

I am designing a layout based on various Locations between Louisiana and Central Eastern Florida.
