Railfanning 06/08/2024 altoona pa unveiling of a new ns locomotive NS 4822 and 590 Amtrak 42

So yesterday I saw ns 1069 and 8099 sitting outside the railroaders memorial museum for a special event that happened today so this morning I went to watch some trains behind station medical center they unveiled ns 4822 an Ac44c6m special paint scheme engine thanking the railroaders and employees for appreciation so today I got to see the engine move and got to see it spin around on the turntable so today was a great morning for train watching make sure to like comment and subscribe #norfolksouthern #railroad #trains #railfansofyoutube #railfans #railfanner #railfanning

NS #4822 has a nice paint job. NS #4822 also meets PSU #2020 which is still in a mothballed state. NS #4822 looks great and honors the railroaders too

When I went to a program called "Tracks to the future" we was in 2020 which the museum hops to use for exscursions once the K4 is finished being rebuilt altho if i remmber correctly its missing 2 spark plugs to start the engine

The southern engine has been back in service for awhile having that accident with a slide on the Pittsburgh Southside ( mon ) sub so does anyone know when the southern engine actually returned to service ?
