Safe journey, Mr. Hardy. And VRF, thank you for the hot-air balloons in Cordele, the lightning in Kearney, and the hellos from railfans all around the network. This is a tough week for me and they all healed my heart.

I'm surprised ALC42s are being added to the Auto Train, especially since this train tends to have unusual power. P30CHs from the 1983 until 1991, and P40s from 1993 onwards. In 1995-ish, Auo Trains had both Amfleet/heritage single-level coach accommodations (with dome and diner cars) and superliner sleeper cars, although all accommodations were Superliners by 1998. 2:00 WOW! CMQ 9017 is the Bangor and Arookstook heritage unit! This ex-CP Rail SD40-2F got this paint in 2017. The BAR became the Montreal, Maine, and Atlantic Railway in 2003 and was sold to new owners in 2014 becoming the Central Maine & Quebec. The Chargers were testing on the Auto Train. Pacific Bend (the heritage sleeper behind), was housing the Siemens engineers monitoring the performance of the locomotives on their first run. First time single level equipment has been seen on the Auto Train since 1995.

Another nice grab bag, but I am confused about one thing. I was in Roanoke, VA on the 22nd. I saw a train with a heavy-duty flatcar pass the camera location there, and also waved at the camera myself. I'm wondering why neither of these things didn't end up in the grab bag. It wasn't because the camera wasn't working, because I watched myself live waving at the camera.
