This one definitely intales my interest. SSRR 2030 is an ex military switcher. I’ve seen that thing so much. Glad you had fun on the excursion. One day though, I’d definitely like to ride behind WP 913 or SN 402, as those are Western Pacific related favorites

I actually never knew 2030 was an old military switcher🤔that’s definitely new to me. I am also new to railfanning as well so I don’t know too much about locomotives but also trying to expand the variety of content on the channel so I’ll try to learn a little more about these locomotives. Definitely let me know if there were any cool facts I missed in the video as I am trying to improve on the railfanning content!!

Nice job on the video! If anyone is interested in seeing the orange/red Santa Fe diesel locomotive it is kept in a building behind the platform at 0:56. During the week this building is not open to the public but it's possible to take photos of the locomotive through the railings of a steel gate. It's only a 2 minute walk from the main museum & the helpful museum staff allowed me to visit the outdoor area & then come back into the main museum.

I was actually able to see the Santa Fe locomotive!! They had the gates open during my visit but I wasn’t able to include the video clip in this video. Maybe in a future railfan video I will include it as a bonus clip.
