zarniwoop42 Thank you ! Yeah, I’m definitely with you on that one. It was amazing to see the amount of vehicular traffic leaving the parking lot after passengers got off each train. It literally caused a mini traffic jam each time with everyone trying to leave all at once !

Hey Brent! I'm asking the question again... How's the action at this station? I see that you only caught four Ace trains, but is there more freight action?

All questions are welcome anytime ! The majority of the action at the Pleasanton Station is mainly the ACE trains unfortunately. There are a couple regularly scheduled freights like the “Lathrop Shuttle” or possibly a couple manifests and intermodals depending on what time those trains arrive into the Bay Area and routed over Altamont Pass (Oakland Subdivision); otherwise they’ll be routed via the Martinez Subdivision. The timing and odds of freights being routed via Altamont Pass can vary due to freight demand as well as the dispatcher scheduling freights outside the ACE morning and afternoon commuter rushes; and additionally considering the Amtrak traffic on the Martinez Sub as well. With the recent implementation of PSR, manifests like the MWSRV or MRVWS have been eliminated or reestablished and poses even more unpredictability for freights through here unfortunately. Hope this helps !
