A whole new way to railfan. Almost looks like a model railroad...albeit lifesize. Very nice video. Count me in as a new subscriber.

Nice video. I have a DJI Mavic and enjoy it very much. I assume you recorded the sound on another device.

Thanks! Yes, I recorded the audio at ground level using a GoPro HERO Session.

I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I believe that drone records on 30fps.

I'm looking to get a phantom 3, is there a way I can add an external mic or a bluetooth mic to hang from the drone so I don't have to record sound from the ground, and later edit it so the Doppler effect doesn't make it all funky?
@DavidLauback6 жыл бұрын
I've also had the idea of hanging a mic from the drone, because it would definitely make things a bit simpler when it comes to accurately matching the audio to the video. Depending on how far down it hangs you may still pick up a lot of drone propeller noise. The mic would have to hang down pretty far to avoid picking up any propeller noise at all, because even the ground mic picks up the propeller noise at times. I hope this helps!

David Lauback Thanks! I'd think maybe a mic hanging 5-10 feet below the drone covered with a wind silencer would cover up the propeller noise pretty well, but I guess the drone noise depends on the drone itself

Did you use another microphone on the ground for audio so you don’t have the noise of the drone?
@DavidLauback2 жыл бұрын
Yes! I used a GoPro to record audio at ground level.

How is the audio so good?
@DavidLauback5 жыл бұрын
I record all of the audio at ground level and then use Adobe Premiere Pro to match the audio to the drone video.

@@DavidLauback and how do you fade one clip to another?
@DavidLauback5 жыл бұрын
In Adobe Premiere Pro I use the cross fade transition. I just drag it wherever I want within the video timeline and then tell the program how long I want the transition to be.
