Congrats on the watch, I’ve had the seamaster 300m quartz (goldeneye) and the planet ocean orange bezel but since flipping them no omegas. Fantastic looking watch and I’ve never really seen much about the railmaster but I’m definitely looking forward to your review. I’ve purchased the Zelos Mako V3 in Midnight Blue and awaiting delivery when there shipped out in the coming weeks. Ω/Omega is the last letter of the Greek Alphabet. The Greek alphabet uses 2 kinds of O, the small O which is the O-mikron and the O-mega which is pretty much pronounced the same, but more drawn out when used in Greek. So the way the E of Omega is pronounced is the same way the E from ''egg'' is pronounced. Hope all that was helpful.

Definitely- This has the 1016 vibe in a modern package. The same goes with the Tudor Ranger. The modern Explorer is pure luxury with all the highly polish sparkle- very different than an old 1016 tool watch. And even though this watch is 1mm larger diameter than the 214270, it is actually a much better fitting watch on small wrists because is has a shorter lug to lug length, but more importantly the end links of the bracelet are "female" vs the "male" end links on the Explorer Oyster bracelet. So essentially the Railmaster on bracelet lug to lug is about 44mm (because the end links cut into the lugs) while the Explorer effective lug to lug is more like 50mm (because the end links extend the lug to lug beyond the end of the lugs)

Some have argued that you can get anywhere between 20 & 30% but I think you need to nurture a relationship with an AD before you get that bolshy. If you have a trip planned then you could easily get 20% discount at the airport

Lovely watch but way too much box! I think these sort of presentation boxes are for rich people that live in McMansions with a special room to hold luxury product retail containers, but there's nothing I like to handle and look at more than the little clear plastic service box's that Rolex uses.

Been doing a bit of price shopping myself and am strongly considering adding this to my collection. My concern going outside an AD is with the warranty. Omega offer a 5 year warranty, but it's only available through an AD. Online shops like Joma here in the states offer a 4-year warranty but it's with them directly and not with Omega. Bottom line, that savings could end up costing you if anything goes wrong. Right now I'm in negotiations with an AD to see how close they can get to my target price but with a factory warranty. Fingers crossed.
