The entertainment value of your videos is just too good! Also my favorite part by far was when you mentioned playing it in the cafe! I do lots of work in cafes and have always thought about bringing a solo game for a break but thought how silly itight look or feel. You have inspired me to do it! Playing a solo game shouldn't be any more silly than a crossword, book, podcast, or staring into your handheld. Thank you Efka! You've inspired me to look silly in the cafe and who knows maybe I'll bring a small filler or 2 in case someone thinks it looks fun to be silly

This isn’t a good video, but a great one! I laughed, & I cried... laughing watching it. You spoke in front of a camera (& hours of editing) to say everything I’ve said & felt about Railroad Ink. I got Deep Blue at Gen Con & have enjoyed it solo sitting on a couch watching Netflix, even relaxing around a bonfire at a cook out with my girlfriend. The amazing amount of people who have also said, ‘wait... where is that route going to go? That’s not going to work!’ has been a real treat. Love it! Thanks guys😊

Well I think artwork and theme is extremely important and railroad ink relaxes me like no other game. I fucking love it. I play it before going to sleep or when I wake up with coffee. There is no setup and it’s just so easy to pull out and play. The colors and artwork and drawing the roads is therapy…

I've had fun with this game and I rather like it, but I wish you'd mentioned that this a completely solo experience, versus Welcome to... and Ganz Schon Clever, which aren't exactly interactive, but still have more interactivity.

Just watched the welcome to review and i have to agree, yeas this "write down" kind of games is not very attractive but the description of the game you made , and the enthusiasm you put into it made we wonder, why not to try :) and that all about it.

No, Karuba slipped us by but I (Efka) have always been meaning to try it.

Efka, have you lost weight, look good matey. Do you ever get to use those fancy starwars minis (as seen in the background). I bought Legion and have probably played 2 or 3 times (thought the kids would be more interested)

So here I am doing my part, pushing all the buttons surrounding this excellent review. Someoene has to help You game the game that is KZbin. That aside, I enjoy the designs of Roland Wright, I just still think that the ultimate R&W is yet to come. I feel like we've merely established an expectation of a game with existing R&W, but my mind is yet to be blown away. So far, they are neat, clever, self-contained, bite-sized cute headscratchers. And it feels like there's still some more potential to the whole genre.

I'm not sure if you're right but I do wish you were.

It's one of those "only time will tell" situations, isn't it? Well, fudge. And here I thought we'll have the Universe solved before the afternoon's tea and biscuit. Pity. You gotta say, that would be NICE. The thing about R&W I've noticed is that we tend to call them "cute", "clever". As if that is a surprise that they can do that, almost as if we expected them not to be capable of such a feat - like a genius teenager doing his PhD ahead of the curve: he might be damn brilliant, but is still viewed as a "kid". We (the undefined conglomerate of "general public") don't view them as fully fleshed games, just a small "fix" of that thing that we do when we have more time. And I'm not saying that making a R&W play longer or being overly complex is the answer, it almost certainly isn't. But to make a R&W game that is a game of choice on a game night, main course created from multiple playthroughs on the same night, that is something I have yet to see. Maybe R&W is no good for that and I'm just rambling. But a strong "one more game" syndrome, sense of ownership they create and scalability they offer are not to be underestimated. These are also strong tools in bringing new people to the fold. Potential for great success is there, as always it's going to be all about execution of this pre-existing set of ideas. And that is a positive thought to go with. We might be too old for exploring space, but at least we live in the golden age of board games. We probably should take comfort in that. It's either that or a noose, right? It got morbid all of a sudden, my apologies. Both of you do great work on this channel. Despite the unfavorable YT algorithms that tend to make it feel as if all the efforts are comparable to pissing off a cliff on the windy day, rest assured, that your work doesn't go unnoticed, or unappreciated.

I don't know. I played On Tour recently, and I was quite impressed with how much depth there is to the puzzle and route-planning. It's an awesome game and well worth the look. :)

This honestly looks like a less-interesting version of 30 rails, honestly. Similar concept, but not quite as tough of decisions and not quite as intricate of a puzzle. 30 rails, On Tour, and MetroX are still the best roll n' write games I've played yet (Welcome To... is pretty good as well). :)
