Brought back memories of working up to there but apart from the British coal loading pad we use to load at A. J. Williams alongside the cottages (now demolished). Also memories of the slug, the charge man's hut with wild sheep on it's roof and one of the chargeman refuelling his tractor from the class 37! People in white gowns burning crosses on a nearby hillside and the local Hunt charging across the hills. That was cwmbargoed, the branch drivers called "the stairway to heaven", some heaven! But it will be missed.

But could a 66 driver handle 3x37s lol. Cracking video Mike, wonderful sights and sounds. Bet they sounded wicked up the valley. Dont think the sheep were too impressed. 😁👍😎

the Power Station and line have been closed for a couple of years. At least I was there for the last ones too.

The Power Station may be closed but remember the Welsh Government has bought it to be emergency standby. Aberthaw was designed to burn anything chucked into it.

I don't think many people know that; thanks for the extra info. Mike, staying inside today, where it's cooler.
