Rain Hitting Window with Wind Through Trees Sound

This storm ambience will hopefully trigger some good memories of sitting inside while the rain is punishing the windows and the trees are being beaten by the gusts of wind. It makes you wanna stay indoors and curl up on the couch or under the blankets, warm and cozy....
We think the video is perfect to filter out unwanted background noises (when you suffer from tinnitus) or to use as a sleeping aid (insomnia), and to enhance focus/concentration.
In this storm ambience the wind is quite present on the foreground because the window was slightly opened while recording the rain falling against the glass of the window. If you listen closely, you can actually hear the sound of the wind blowing through the small opening of the window producing a subtle howling sound.

In the older days, cars didn't have good insulation and you could feel and hear the wind and rain so perfectly. One night I got so tired driving I pulled over by a woodland. It was a Noddy car Austin A30 which had a lovely worn leather smell so I was feeling cosy already. I sat in the back seat with my legs over the folded down driver's seat and then rested on the steering wheel. I was in my sleeping bag with an extra blanket. The rain pitter-pattered on the roof and the wind gently rocked the car. I was so cosy and relaxed. I really didn't want the morning to come. I lay awake for as long as I could watching the trees bend and sway in the wind. Perfect - so perfect night.

I think I just discovered my slice of heaven. I'm 26, married and suffer from depression and anxiety. This is what I have been praying for. To find something to calm me down and help me relax whenever I have a panic attack. I've always loved the rain growing up. I remember when I was younger going on vacation to Mexico with my family. My grandparents lived on a ranch, and when it would rain, I would fall asleep so peacefully hearing the rain hit the metal roof. I would wake up the next day, and walk down to the river behind their house. I loved smelling the wet dirt while the river moved so peacefully as I would watch the trees dance with the wind. Now that I found this video, you don't know how much relief I have. As happy tears roll down my face, I feel now I can have some control over my emotions and state of mind, while listening to this and sniffing my peppermint essential oil. God bless!!! 😃😃

I like to watch this video and imagine owning a new , fully equipped RV and traveling the country with two German Shepherd dogs . This always reminds me of when i was a little girl and we went on caravan holidays. The sound of the wind in the trees and the sound of the rain, in bed under the itchy blanket..the caravan park was heavy with trees and i used to open the window and just listen early in the morning before my parents woke.

This is perfection! When I was growing up we lived on the edge of a huge pine forest and there was nothing I loved more than lying in bed with the window open listening to the wind and smelling the fresh air that the wind pushed through the window! I never realised how much I love rain until I started listening to rain sounds. I never used to have a particular liking for rain, though I never hated it. It seems that getting depression has somehow made me love the rain and find peace in it. This is utterly FANTASTIC!!! The BEST ONE EVER for rain on a window! I used to push my bed up to the window to watch the rain during a summer storm. My next door neighbors had two very large oak trees that swayed back and forth. My pillow was pushed right up on the window sill with the window pulled up. I could feel the wind and smell the rain and I even got a little wet. What a wonderful memory. Thanks for bringing it all back to me. 😌

Has anyone developed symptoms from these rain video's? I use em to fall asleep, but whenever I hear rain now in the real world, and it just hits the perfect amount of rain vs wind vs more rain, I just wanna go lay down and sleep. Even when I'm waiting for a bus and the rain hits me the top of the busstation and makes awesome sound, i just wanna go to the nearest bench and sleep.

Oh, it's not serious, do not worry! It's more like when I hear the sound or rain it just triggers me to find a soft bed, listen to rain and go to sleep. I just 'want'to, when the sound of the rain in real life is just perfect. For instance. The sound of heavy rain drops on a plastic seethrough umbrella with distant rolling thunder. Then I want a pillow and sleep because I know I will sleep like a baby!

When ever it rains I go outside to the park on my own and I sit on a swing and think about stuff wile it rains it relaxes me the rain it keeps me calm when something bad has happened and I like that when I stop thinking about stuff I go and get my iPod and I listen to some relaxing music wile the rain gets harder and harder and I drift away into my own world wile it rains and I stair into space wile the music gets more relaxing and the rain gets even more harder after that I go for a walk on the green filed and I look at all the animals and how pice full they are snuggled up with there mom or dad nothing can compare with rain it's one of the best weathers out there and I'm going to keep it that way thanks for reading

Listen to this every night to send me to sleep. I always struggled falling to sleep and it would take me HOURS (literally). Thanks to this I fall asleep in 10-15 mins. Great video, love that it is actually a video, not a still image xx

I thought that I was doing a smart thing to get double glazing installed. It sure keeps out the cold but also the sound of rain and wind and bird song. So at this moment I know that it is raining outside (the dog has just come in and is soaking) but have to rely on your lovely track to get off to a peaceful and gentle sleep. Thanks so much.

My brother and I when we were young back in the early sixties we would sneak out of the house curl up in the back of are dad's old Morris van parked at the back of the house wrap up in a blanket and listen to the winter rain we were only six and seven ho what happy innocent days

Reminds me of the Summers spent at the cabin, in the fish camp on Cape Scott. The cabin was heated by an old wood burning, cast iron upright stove. The fire snapped, crackled, and popped, with the sound of the rain and wind mixed in. After a long wet, cold work day, to snuggle down in the dry soft bunk, under a thick comforter was so good. Best sleeps ever.
