Someone asked why the Osmonds aren't in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame: I present Exhibit A.

The Osmonds began their career performing on a TV variety show. They tried to become rock stars and only got so far before going back to TV variety. It destroyed their credibility as rock musicians but though they could play their own instruments they always tended to do a lot of motions and movements in their stage performances that stayed with the way things are done on and for TV audiences.
